I have several questions.

1. Are the guitars flawless yet? If they arn't should they be either shortly before or after Christmas?

2. With the overdrive sensor, is it not working at all or just when you try to tilt the guitar?

i think they've got both the strum bar and the overdrive sensor problems worked out of the new guitars.

Seems to me from the large numbers of posts about strum/overdrive problems here that things are far from "worked out."

It would be nice if someone from Harmonix could chime in here with some legitimate information about redesigned parts, including some manufacturing dates to look for, etc.
