First HMX stated (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=15440)that Activision blocked the patch to Rock Band so that the PS3 GH guitar would work.

Basicly when it comes down to it Activision is just greedy and when they say they want to "talk" about using the guitar with Rock Band, what they mean is they want a chunk of money in doing so.
Either way it is the customers that get screwed and now we cant all jam out like we want too for Xmas etc. The fact that the Xbox360 guitars work doesn't really bother activision but they want to "talk" so the ps3 version works.
HMX needs to just release their own patch via the website or make the guitars available to buy seperately. Granted the second option probally will not make it by xmas so it seriously screws over alot of people.
This really upsets me and these kind of things SHOULD have been hashed out BEFORE the product was released, expecially when it costs upwards of $200.
