View Full Version : PS3 - Pepsi Rock Band - Runnin' Down a Dream - Invalid Code

Just redeemed a cap code and selected Runnin' Down a Dream for PS3. When I entered the code in the PlayStation Store, I got this message:

The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid.

Is there a way to fix this, or at the least, get a new code?

Ugh, just found out about the whole PS Store update debacle. Disregard this post, I just hope my code is still valid when/IF the update goes live.

PS Store update is live. My two DLC codes I got yesterday still don't work. Argh.

Yeah, just saw that the update was live. Code still doesn't work. Pepsi/Harmonix/whoever, I want a new code. Or something else... *coughbeatlesspecialeditionbundlesneeze*

Are you okay, antftw? You sound sick.

SICK AND TIRED OF THESE PEPSI/ROCK BAND/YAHOO DLC REDEEM CODES NOT WORKING!! I AM A CUSTOMER AND I DEMAND EVERYTHING THAT INCLUDES TECHNOLOGY WORKS ALL THE TIME!!! GLARGLHARGLBARGL!!! CAPS LOCK = SERIOUS BIDNESS!!!

But seriously, folks, I can live with a non-DLC conclusion. I too am experiencing non-functioning codes and hope I can get something out of it, but if not, oh well.

No need for a sarcastic-caps-locked-rant-of-doom. That's just rude. (:

I just spoke to someone at Sony about the problem with entering the Pepsi codes and the codes being invalid and he said that the codes are invalid because they havent been put into the system yet. Whatever that means. He says to wait a few days and we should be ok.

Hmm. Kinda weird, there being an actual delay...every other time, the codes worked instantly. *shrug* I'll give it a week.

I had the same issue. 5 of the 8 codes I entered yesterday were fine, but the last 3 didn't work.

I've heard that Monday is the day to look forward to concerning the codes.

I got codes for Runnin Down A Dream & I Wont Back Down. I got the exact same thing as you do! VERY annoying! I sure hope it was Sony just not putting the codes into the store and that it gets fixed soon. I just tried my 2 codes a few minutes ago ( again ) and still have no luck!

It would be appreciative if someone from Harmonix would at least let us know if anything is going on or if they know anything. Several people seem to have the same problem. Would Harmonix please stand up?

Well, I just did the 3.0 Firmware update. I was thinking maybe that was the issue.
Well guess what? That wasn't the issue. Maybe because of the Firmware update Sony hasn't entered the codes yet.
I'll give them til Wednesday. Then I'm calling someone. Not that'll work, but dog gonit. I earned 2 FREE songs, and I want what's mine!!
How about some "Official" Feedback Harmonix? This is your baby too!

I think thats what bothers me the most, the lack of acknowledgement. Sure, technically someone else is running the contest, but so what. How bout a one liner in the announcements forums saying "Hey we've been advised some of the codes for songs for ps3 from the latest update arent working yet. If you've got your code just hang onto it, it'll take them a bit to fix this but it'll be useable eventually."

there. done. 800 concerned posts alleviated......

I totally agree and feel the same. I am also getting this message:
"The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid.

Please check your entries."

Its Tuesday, and apparently Monday was NOT the day for the codes to go live. Sigh.

I did get an email from the folks running the contest...they thanked me for letting them know and said they'd "let Playstation know" which doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence...kinda like saying "We'll let Mac know" when they mean Apple... >.>

I just joined and wanted to chime in on this. I actually have 15 codes that I try entering and get the same error message. Is anyone from Harmonix looking at this?

It has been almost a week and still no reponse from anyone? I contacted Sony a few days ago and they informed me that it would be a few days. A few days have come and gone. I have e mailed pepsirockband.com and I recieved a message that stated that the process of my e mail going through has been delayed. I called the phone number that Yahoo gives and it directs me to go to a website that isnt accessable. This is starting to border on false advertisement.

As of 2:45 CST my codes were accepted and I was able to download my free pepsi rock band DLC's. But I would ask if Harmonix could let us know what the issue was. Are we supposed to wait a certain amount of time to enter the codes?
