i read on here about people being on their 2nd or 3rd replacements. must be nice! i still can't get 1 replacement.
here's a rundown of my recent experiences with EA
nov. 20th - i buy rock band
nov. 21st - down strum on guitar dies
approx nov 25th - i submit an order for replacement using normal replacement method
nov. 29th - empty box arrives
nov. 30th - i ship out broken guitar (no problems up to this point)
dec. 1st - status updated to 'rma cancelled', i send an e-mail to find out why
dec. 2nd - e-mail reply isn't at all helpful(in fact, tried to claim i sent question to the wrong dept.)
dec. 4th - EA receives my broken guitar, status still says 'rma cancelled'(and note, i didn't know they received it by this time)
dec. 5th - i update my original replacement request with a question about the rma cancellation. i then call EA and am told that they received my guitar on the 4th and that my replacement should ship out immediately and i should receive it friday or monday(this is wednesday btw)
dec. 10(monday) - still no guitar, no tracking number, nothing
dec. 11th - i call EA again, this time i get transferred to a supervisor named Charles. charlse deeply apologizes for my wait and assures me that he'll have my replacement in the mail immediately. 3 minutes later i get an e-mail from my new rma with my ups tracking number.
dec. 14th - ups arrives and hands me an empty ****ing box. the invoice says it contains a guitar, but after a careful investigation, i can conclude that the box arrived empty.
i'm gonna call them up tomorrow and give them hell.
i don't need any replies to this thread, feel free to close it or do whatever, i just wanted to rant a little
Hope it gets squared away. I'd be demanding a supervisor and an overnight replacement. What you've had to go through is ridiculous and unsatisfactory. They really need to go out of there way to make everything right for you. Good Luck!

As many people that have been complaining about empty boxes, I'm starting to think they are getting stolen while in transport. But that's just a theory. I'm betting there is a pretty hefty black market (Ebay) for RB peripherals. They are breaking and some people would use this as a way of making a quick buck buy Ebaying an instrument
Or, maybe the shippers are just morons. You have to be one stupid S.O.B. to not be able to tell the weight difference between an empty box and one with the guitar inside.
By chance, is there a weight on the shipping label? If so, compare it to what you received. If it differs, there may be a bigger problem outside of EA's control...if they are the same...see the second paragraph. :)
I hope this gets worked out for you.
As many people that have been complaining about empty boxes, I'm starting to think they are getting stolen while in transport.
I'm actually thinking the same thing since the text on the outside of the box indicates what is inside.

I'm still waiting on ANYTHING to come back from EA. I sent in my broken guitar over a week ago..still nothing back. So much for the 2 day air thing, i guess. How long does it take for them to replace these things?

I have almost the same timeline as you for my, get this - first Rock Band Bundle! I purchased on Nov. 23rd. and still have no replacement. Same reasons as you mentioned. Bought another bundle today (12/15/07) and the strum bar is bad too. Have called EA but get disconnected repeatedly. I'm done! Taking RB back to store and selling the unopened bundle to anyone. Will take a small loss but I don't care. I will also take the other Harmonix products to EB Games or Gamestop and rid myself of them out of spite! Through all these problems, EA still has a hold on my credit card. How is that legal? Anyway, I am a sumer camp director, and in the interest of my campers, going to send an email to my alumni to prevent parents from getting caught in this mess! Good luck to all those who are struggling with EA, I will no longer buy their products. Remember, "If its in the game, its in the game (provided you can play the thing!)
