If Microsoft is so charitable why is it exclusive doesn't that defeat the purpose of reaching out and stuff?

Umm...because that's where I guess they're estimating to make the most profit to give to charity. The core of RB players are on Xbox.

Sigh....well as long as it's just a timed exclusive right?
And makes no sense because even if that is why they are doing it, because of their estimates. Err example.
They sell 1million songs to the 360 and 0 to ps3.
If not exclusive they sell 800000 to 360 and 200000 to ps3.
But figures would be realistically 1million to 360 and 200000+ for ps3.
meaning if it wasn't exclusive wouldn't it be profit and donations and than some?

Microsoft just wants people with multiple consoles (or people with none buying a console for the game) to choose Xbox over the PS3 or Wii version. I don't think this timed exclusive will have much of an effect, though.

It's only exclusive for three months. Sucks for you guys, I know, but them's the breaks I guess.

It's only exclusive for 3 months. I have a feeling Microsoft is donating in exchange for the exclusive which could raise the total significantly.

ONLY!?!?!
Oh just so you guys know I'm one of those few "teen" Beatles fans that some say don't exist.
But Only! Crap I mean I Pre-Ordered this the week it was announced at my Game stop and I haven't been able to be patient about it. I Google news on it everyday :D
But a 3 month wait on one of my first Beatles song:(
Damn Shortstraw:mad:
And school starts the day it comes out so I have to pick it up after school.
Err this Sucks

You're missing a very important point: Microsoft is putting forth cash to get it as an exclusive. So even before release the song is making a lot more money than it would have if not exclusive.

Is it just me or does every teen beatles fan love to think they're a rare breed? Jeez, and well, the 360 is the one with the most rock band players, and Harmonix and Microsoft have (had) like 3 time-exclusive deals now anyway (RB2, All You Need Is Love and RBN).

Oh great, now school principals are gonna be burning Beatle albums. :D
It takes a teen to think 90 days is a long time. ;) We've had a longer wait than that for the game to be released.
The exclusive had me tempted to get an xbox, but it didn't sway me even though I thought was a forever-exclusive at the time I decided to order a PS3.
Was it announced that Microsoft is paying cash? I'm just supposing it from common sense if I'm the source of it.

Yeah, it kind of bummed me out, but at least we don't have to wait a month longer for the game like with Rock Band 2. Also, at least some of the proceeds are going to charity.
Not me.
I know many people my age that love The Beatles.
There may not be many of us.
But to act like we're heaven sent is just silly :p

I wish I was with you on that one but I don't know many who do. Besides My GF and I, There was my friend who just turned 20 so he's not part of us anymore:p
And Anyone else they either like them Twist And Shout because of the school band. Or because the piano teacher made Let It Be to be in the finals :/
Nobody said anything about being rare but I'm just saying because according to the articles They don't expect to appeal to "teens" or something like that/ made me feel left out:eek:

One thing I have noticed, is that as the game gets closer people that don't normally associate with The Beatles are starting to.
Lots of the people I know are starting to ask me questions and borrow my cds and movies. I'm not sure how to feel about this. I'm glad that they are stating to get into the music. But I hope it doesn't turn into one of those things where everyone is wearing a Beatles shirt because its "cool". Kinda of like The Ramones a few years back.

Maybe Sony and Nintendo refused to collaborate with Harmonix/EA/Apple for the charity? There's a thought.

I think worst than that was the Misfits shirt pandemic that spread onto the least expected: primarily Black males aged 15 to 21 who regularly listen to rap and hip-hop wearing these shirts and knowing nothing of it when asked about it. There were others of course but this was the majority i witnessed. God it was annoying to see at school. Here in cali.

There are a lot of apparent Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox fans in parts of LA, too.

You found out the darkest secret of the gaming industry. Video game companies undermine charity.
