I bought rock band when it came out. The guitar I got with the game had some minor issues where I had to ask for a replacement. I got the new guitar in the mail a couple of days ago, and now I have different issues and some of the same as the old guitar.
Issues I have with the old guitar, Strum bar not working correctly (which is a known issue), but I also have problems with getting the star power to activate when I tilt the guitar, but if I lean back in a chair it auto works, kinda weird, so I asked for a replacement.
Issues I have with new guitar, Strum bar seams to work, but still have the star power issues, and NONE of my rechargable betteries works in it. They work just fine in the old guitar, but I found out why they do not work in the new guitar. Appearntly the batteries do not make contact with the metal strips at all there is more plastic in the way where it seams they made it thicker than the original. I can fix this by grinding some of the plastic off, or by adding aluminum foil to make the contacts, but it may void the warrenty.
So do I return the old guitar and ask for a new one again, or do I risk voiding the warrenty and try to fix the new one, or has anyone else had this problem and can give me some advice on how to avoid getting into the ship back wait then try warrenty again hassles
I am also having Whammy bar issues where it does not want to work and then it does, happens with both guitars
guess I will just have to work on getting a 3rd replacement
:eek:My Guitar does the Same thing ! I have to "Whip it" up fast to activate , but when i'm chilling in the chair it goes on almost automatically. My strum bar is also wacked.:(
Time for a replacment I guess.

I'm having issues with my replacement too...
My first guitar had downstrum issues, but Overdrive and everything else seemed fine.
My new guitar has major Overdrive problems (either goes off automatically or is absolutely impossible to turn on), and the fret buttons are EXTREMELY clicky and harder to depress than on my original guitar. It's rather sad, actually.
I'm going to have to get another replacement, but I'm waiting a few more weeks hoping that there's yet another new revision of the guitar that fixes these issues. It's really too bad, since I really like the RB Stratocaster... but since it's having so many problems, my GH Gibson seems to be far more reliable when playing. =(
