Am I the only one who likes more Bob dylan's version of All along the watchtower?

I just listened to this song and I like more the sound of this version but I know a lot of people thinks that Jimy Hendrix's version rocks.

Which one do you like and why? I think this is the perfect place in this forum to about it.

I think people are somewhat biased to whichever version of a song they hear first, granted that first sound of a song doesn't completely suck. I like Jimi's version better, but I recognize and respect the merits of Bob Dylan's.

Another example of something like this would be "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)". Grandparents of mine who heard the original by Jimmy Kennedy can't wrap their heads around TMBG's version. I am the exact opposite.

Bob Dylan's version is better than Jimi Hendrix's, in my opinion, though I could totally understand why you would like Hendrix's version better.

That was awful. I barely made it a minute into it.

On topic, I love Hendrix's version the most, but Dylan's version ain't bad either. They are two very different versions and share almost nothing in common beyond the lyrics.

I love the Dylan one, and the Hendrix one is one of the few Hendrix songs I really like. I like the Dylan one more though.

That was weird, and not in a really good way.

I love both the Dylan and Hendrix versions of the song. It depends on the mood I'm in to say which one is better. I don't see why people actively trash the Dylan version of the song.

It's kind of hard to compare the two because they're so different. Comparing Acoustic to Electric is like Apples to Oranges. Kind of like comparing Deep Purple's Hush to Joe South's Hush. Apples to Oranges.

Dylan's is fine, DMB's is great, Hendrix' is best
