Just Played the Demo

I just played the demo at Best Buy...and I was totally blown away. My wife and I played one song with a younger-looking dude (pre-teen) and we all had a blast.

The visuals are amazing.

I just want to say "thank you" to Harmonix for making this game--AND making it so lovingly faithful to The Beatles. This band means more to me than any other group...had this game been a dissapointment I don't know what I would have done.

ROCK BAND is going to help preserve a lot of great rock music that might not have reached many young people if not for these games. I'm happy that young people everywhere will have the chance to experience The Beatles and their music.

I have not had a chance to play the demo yet, I am waiting to until I get it.. but very well put man.

Totally agree. I played the demo at my Best Buy a few days ago and it was amazing. The best part was there was also a GH:WT set-up next to the Beatles one, and we were playing "Can't Buy Me Love" while they were playing some ridiculous song and they were giving us dirty looks. But I felt so much cooler than them ;)

I was at Best Buy last night and saw the set up as well, and I had to try it. It was amazing! I played Here Comes the Sun, and seeing the studio to dreamscape transition gave me goosebumps. Girlfriend played Can't Buy Me Love after and now we are both more excited than ever to play the actual game.


P.S. my girlfriend definitely thinks young, android Paul McCartney is cute

Yeah, the GHWT demo sitting a few feet away was not only deserted at my Best Buy, it looked downright ridiculous compared to Beatles Rock Band.

Knowing how good all the Harmonix games are...I was 99.999% sure that this game was going to be something special--but it was nice to get a little peek and see that YES they totally nailed it.

Got a chance to play it at Best Buy myself today. It was pretty cool despite the broken Best Buy guitar controllers (no downstrum). This game is going to ROCK!!! Can't wait until Sept. 9th.

I like how there's a countdown after you pause before you get back in the game - a feature GH has had that I wanted. Maybe they'll add this into RB2 with the upcoming patch?
