View Full Version : I'm getting my guitar back...right?

I sent out my guitar in the box they sent me the other day and I just looked last night on the EA support site and it says my "question" or rather my RMA is "Completed". Are they still going to send me a new one or did they screw things up and think that I don't need one back...because I do?

EA's customer site is junk. You need to call them to get information in a timely manner.
You can submit a new "question" to them and refer to the previous incident, but you'll wait a day or two to get a reply usually.

I just wish they had a visible number that doesn't take 20 minutes to find. I still can't find it. I know they got the guitar on wednesday cause the tracking number says it was delivered, I just want to know how long before they mail the new one out to me. Xmas is coming and I'm gonna have a lot of friends over who wanna play that game.

So yeah...I've updated my RMA with a question...TWICE. No ****ing answer. I'm really starting to get impatient.

You guys are ******ed. If you would have paid attention you would have seen there was a choice that you could have recieved the new guitar first and then you could send yours back without being charged within a 28 day period. Good Job:rolleyes:

If you understood OPTIONS that means that BOTH ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK IN AN ORDERLY FASHION.

Some people don't have a credit card (kids), or don't have room for a $125 'hold' on it (it is Christmas you know?).

Wait, EA's site can tell you the status of an RMA? Where? I'm logged into my account but don't see it anywhere.

I also used the normal shipping method and my RMA status had completed under it. I received my replacement guitar 2 days later. It should be on its way to you. When the status says completed it means that your RMA is now closed because they have sent you the replacement guitar.

i used the 'express' two day shipping and it took two weeks and a half to get the new guitar, if i were you i would just grab a beer, sit down, and wait....:cool:

That's why I have had to wait 3 weeks for my replacement thus far, so I called them twice and they're saying it's going to be another week yet before I get it?
Going on a month, and if I don't get it by the time they say it's going to be here; I won't even have a working guitar controller by x-mas to jam out with the family.

I did the other option and my box says XBOX 360 GUITAR.
im afraid to ship it to them in that box hahah.

I just went out and bought a couple of guitar hero 2 controllers. They're ugly and clunky, but you know what, gosh darn it, they actually DON'T BREAK halfway through the SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN ON MEDIUM, like my stratocopy did. I have to wonder what fender thinks... the "fender" models break, but every body loves the "gibson" from GH 3. I just gave up on my RMA. It took them a week to get me the box (4 days +2 for shipping) and I sent it back monday. I expect it will be here by the first of the year. Since I have a 360 I'll just buy GH 3 after christmas and may not even use the other if... I mean, when... it comes back.
And yes I used the regular (non-express) option. I'm not giving them 125$ to hold in their grubbies while I sit at home with no guitar and 125$ that I can't spend. It's like buying the damn thing twice.

No, they didn't give me a tracking number. It just showed up at my door 2 days after they received my faulty guitar. BTW, I live in IL, and they ship the guitar from MI. That is why I received it so fast. If you don't receive it in the next day or two, just call the number and find out what is going on. Hope this helps.
