Hi

I have Rock Band 1 on PS3 and live in Australia.

I purchased a few songs (eg Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon single track and Pearl Jam 10 album). I purchased these through the Playstation store as opposed to through the music store in the game (which states nothing is available for me).

The tracks/albums download and install fine but simply do not appear in game anywhere.

At the PS3 menu, the game data folder has to instances of the game, the first a 15mb file which appears when you first agree to update the game and the other is over 500mb, clearly being the songs. Thus, the songs themselves are on the PS3 but the game doesn't pick them up.

The game is Pal, as is the playstation and the PS store knows that I live in Australia.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Do you have to finish the game (in solo mode for example) before downloaded content will appear or should it just be there??!!?

To play the dlc, the tour does not have to be completed.

Which PSN store are you connecting to? If it's US, NTSC dlc and PAL games do not mix. Nor do they vice versa (PAL dlc and NTSC game).

That could well be the problem - how do you tell which PS store you are connected to?

No he said that it is the Australian PS Store, which is also PAL, and his game is PAL

How do you tell which PS store you are connected to?

The music store in the game states that every available song/album is "purchased" but when I click on it it says it is not currently available for download.

If you check in the address of your profile, there's a spot for country/region. That should be the store you are connected to.

On the spine of your disc case there should be a square with a partial globe and a number, that's the region of the game. Which number is it?
