DLC Store not updating: Help would be appriciated. [Archive]

The DLC store for PS3 has been working fine since the beginning even here in Europe, but by last week's thursday (27th day) the DLC store didn't update. Not a one song from Billy Idol, Tom Petty or Fleetwood Mac has appeared in Rock Band Store nor in Playstation Store. Until this both stores have updated in time (every thursday around 6 PM local time). I've tried updating my PS system, but it didn't help.
Someone else with the same problem? Any ideas how to get store back in schedule?

Same thing is happening with me.. I live in England and have been checking all day to find out whether Bat Country is available yet, I search the whole PS Store and cant find it, then I try to download it directly from Rock Band Music Store and the "New Releases" section is greyed-out and just says "Coming Soon". PLEEEASE HELP SOMEONE, I CAN't WAIT TO PLAY BAT COUNTRY ANY LONGER :mad:

That is exactly what happened to me a few days ago. Also, this is kinda off-topic, but anyone noticed that "Last Resort" by Papa Roach isn't available anymore in Rock Band store? Is that some kind of side-effect or are they actually doing something about the bad masters we got of the song?

The stuff is available in the PSN store but not in-game. This happened a couple of weeks ago and was down for two-three weeks. It has only been working again for a fortnight and we are back to being broken and two weeks behind again. NOT the service I expected. An announcement from HMX stating 'sorry, it will be fixed by 'X' or something but again, no statement. I mean it's only the whole of europe not being able to preview and buy DLC, can't be important..... GRRRRRRRR it's so frustrating, could eb down another day/week/month, just some info and acknowledgement of the problem would be nice.

Definitely, since I'd bought Rebel Yell, Guerilla Radio, Bat Country and The Jam songs by now. Plus if this continues, next week's RB:U exclusive songs and Freezepop songs. And I think I'm not the only european fan of that stuff.

I was able to download 'Rebel Yell' and 'Don't Stop' using the PSN search feature, but 'I Won't Back Down' is missing completely.

FYI, the last time this occurred, it was resolved after the weekly PSN update.

BTW, there's another thread on this in Rock Band general, but I think Tech Support is the right place for this.

I tried redownloading all the songs from this week also, just in case, but it still didn't make Bat Country appear in the PSN. I was unaware of the PSN Search feature - I'll try this next.

I'll jump in here as well. I'm in UK and I have all the songs you appear to be missing, Tom Petty and so on, as I used the latest option on the PS Store on the day of release.

However, I have noticed this past week that the Spinal Tap track Sex farm and Flower People are missing. Ithought it might be because they both start with words in brackets and there is no sub categories for songs starting with symbols but they aren't on the ingame store either.

Just checked the store and this weeks DLC is still listed under the Latest menu but not through game add ons.

Also, does anyone else find it odd that the Talking Heads pack costs more than if you buy the tracks separately?

I tried using the Search feature, and Bat Country came up... however, when I selected it, I got the same "there's nothing here for you to download" message and it booted me out. Te test my theory (that I explained in the other thread http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161914) that perhaps Bat Country was incorrectly added to the PSN meta-deta for a separate download, I used the search feature to find Girlfriend is Better (part of the Talking Heads pack) and attempted to download it, and I got the same error message.

So it looks like the PSN thinks we already have Bat Country as part of some other download, and that's why it doesn't show it to us. Perhaps this can only be fixed on the PSN side.

I finally managed get the songs through search option in PSN Store. Weird though, I couldn't find newer songs in New Releases section nor in Rock Band tracks section. And the Rock Band Store still has 'New releases' greyed out.

PS3 (UK) - I have just found this thread after 2 weeks of pulling my hair out! :-p This weeks content has uploaded properly and I was all excited looking forward to the last 2 weeks DLC but somehow it is still missing! I will try the PSN search though as suggested. I love Rockband but that just makes this is all so much more frustrating, i know these tracks will be great!

After the PSN update, I still can't get Bat Country (everything for this week works fine).

As a further test of my theory, I added the Freezepop pack to my cart, then immediately attempted to add Science Genius Girl, and I got the same error message... so it looks very much like either Bat Country is incorrectly listed in the meta-data for a different PSN download, or Bat Country has some sort of duplicate ID with a different PSN download. One of these is going on, so the PSN thinks we already own it. I'll bet another specific download is the culprit, and that's why only some users are affected (those that have the other download).

This would also mean that *everyone* who buys all the rock band DLC is affected, unless
A.) The problem download came out at the same time as Bat Country, then only users who added that download to their cart before Bat Country are affected, or
B.) The problem download isn't rock band related (probably unlikely).

For what it's worth, I used the SCEA support link given above to report the issue, and I encourage everyone affected to do so as well. The more we can flood them with complaints, the more likely they'll take notice and fix the issue. :-)

The only problem with your hypothesis is that some people are having the same issue with the Capcom collections that were released last week. When I try to get them, neither of them work.

Canada here by the way, and I can't get Bat Country because of this either. I've called SCEA twice with no luck. First guy said it was an updating issue and the second guy told me I should try to plug an ethernet wire into my PS3.

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday. New songs for this week (Kryptonite, ABC, Get Ready 2 Rokk etc.) appeared in Rock Band Store, but releases of past two weeks (Tom Petty, Billy Idol, Bat Country etc.) are still missing.

Ok so I tried PS Store search and had some joy. I
managed to find, purchase, and actually play 4 of the 8 songs I wanted - both billy idol tracks, 'don't stop' by fleetwood mac ('world turning' is also searchable), and 'going underground' by the jam, although none of these appear in PS Store A-Z or Rockband store. I also wanted The Jam 'a Town called malice', Oasis 'supersonic' and both tom Petty tracks but none of these are even searchable. Oh well, at least I have something to keep me going! :-)

That's incredibly unfortunate, as the problem clearly lies with PlayStation Network, and not Harmonix/EA. For the people that are able to buy it, the songs work just fine.

Yep, the songs work just fine if you grabbed them while they were in the Latest section of the PSN Store.

I bought Talking Heads "And She Was" as well as both of the Tom Petty songs when they were there.

This week, I wanted to buy another Talking Heads track "Take Me To The River", but it's nowhere to be found on the PSN Store (I'm in Australia, but I think all our content comes off the EU servers).

If I do a search on the PSN Store, it shows 3 of the 5 Talking Heads songs, but still can't buy them.

If I connect using the in-game music store, RB1 shows all the Talking Heads tracks as "purchased". RB2 doesn't show Talking Heads at all... nothing under New Releases, Songs or Songpacks.

It seems as soon as new DLC is added to the Latest section of the PSN Store, the older ones disappear completely.

I've emailed Sony here in OZ... will see what they have to say for themselves!

Right so reading these posts i thought hey, if it down to a corrupt file (or a previously downloaded file being mistaken as one of these elusive tracks) then surely if i format my hard drive and remove any offending tracks, i should be able to download these tracks then reload my others. A simple format did not work as even though the tracks were no longer on my ps3, when i signed in (as required to use the rockband store) it still new which tracks i had already. Incidentally, all the tracks appear in rockband 1 store, but not rb2, very odd. So i did a complete system restore - removed everything, made up a new online ID (requiring a new email addy) and now obviously i have none of my previously downloaded tracks, or any way of my ps3 knowing what i have downloaded before. Sorted i thought, feeling very smug and quite clever, only to find all the tracks in question appear in RB1 store as purchased! Gutted. Harmonix please sort this, i got 'runnnin down a dream' as i did find it in PS Store but i still cant get 'I wont back down', 'Supersonic', or 'A town called malice'... Grrrrr

Hopefully it will get resolved quickly (I can't imagine that re-assigning ID tags to the song could be that difficult; but, then again, I'm not a computer guy). It's the only DLC I don't have!

Also, everything this past week downloaded just fine, so, for me, it has been an isolcated incident with 'Bat Country.'

Can't see any comments from HMX and oddly not getting any response from Sony this time either.

What are they doing?

For the last 2-3 weeks, they add songs into the Latest section of the PSN Store, and as soon as new content replaces it, the older ones seem to just disappear from the store completely.

I'd like the Talking Heads stuff back please!

Oh, and wouldn't mind if they put the Export Key back in the AU PSN Store either (it was there for a short time in Nov 2008... looks like they've done the same with the Import Key for GH5... was up in the Store when the update came through, hours later... gone).

Also, let me know of any other songs that are problematic? I've seen mention of Talking Heads and the Jam, but if you guys could give specific tracks, again with your region, we can work on getting these worked on.

Talking Heads Pack is still missing.

"And She Was", "Girlfriend is Better", "Crosseyed and Painless" come up if you do a search, but they're not under the Games Add-Ons/Rock Band section of the PSN Store.

I had no problems buying "And She Was" when it was up in the Latest section.

Wanted to buy "Take Me To The River" and "Once in a Lifetime", but neither appear in the store anymore.

Checked on those missing tracks that aspect102 reported:

Can't seem to connect to the rock central server using Rock Band 1 at the moment, but Rock Band 2 connects to the music store, and none of the above songs are listed there either!

Seems the "Rock Central Server" has been down for almost a day... can just see a glimpse of the New Releases before it says it can't connect.

It doesn't look like it's fixed yet (just checked), but it appears all of this week's DLC is ready to go live in the Rock Band Music Store... will check again later when the update usually goes through. Looking forward to grabbing Tenacious D and hopefully a couple more Talking Heads tracks.

Sigh... PSN Store's been updated, had to search for "Rock Your Socks" since it wasn't listed, but STILL no sign of those missing tracks.

Please add "Rock Your Socks" - Tenacious D to the previous list I posted.

It's not in the PSN Store, it can only be found/bought when you do a search for it.

RB2's music store still isn't showing any of those listed tracks.
RB1's music store is showing the listed tracks as "purchased".

This is on the Australian PSN Store, but I imagine the UK/Europe one would be the same.

Please fix it... I really want those 2 Talking Heads tracks!

That one's a timed exclusive for the XBOX360... it should be on the PS3/Wii some time in December apparently.

HMXPope, is there any news on what's happening with that missing DLC on the AU/EU/UK PSN Stores?

I've just checked the UK PSN Store for myself... it seems the exact same songs/packs are missing from their store too, but they have the purple Rock Band Songs Export Key in their store... how about putting that back in AU PSN Store also? Please? Pretty please? (it was there in Nov. 2008 for a very brief period, whether by error or not, a lot of us have the Rock Band 2 game, so it'd be great if it was made available again).

Sorry if I happened to miss the section of this in the past comments, but "Last Resort" is missing from the 360 Music Store. I checked on the Xbox.com Markertplace, and it is indeed there, but I can't download it there since I'm 17.

Edit: Never mind. It's not on the Rock Band 2 Music Store, but when you go to the 360 dashboard and scroll there, you can find it.

The problem still continues to live on. Freezepop, PAX pack and Unplugged tracks appeared on my Rock Band Store, but last week's releases (Tenacious D, Anvil, The Guess Who, Dinosaur Jr.) haven't appeared.

Yeah, the problem continues... for the 3rd week it seems that Sony and/or HMX aren't putting the "Latest" DLC into the Games/Add-Ons/Rock Band area of the PSN Store, and also not making it available for purchase within the Rock Band Music Store either. Harmonix know about it, as HMXPope said it was being looked into, and it has been fixed on the US PSN Store. It's just borked everywhere else. Sony also know about it, i've emailed Sony here in Australia and others have emailed Sony in the UK, so there really is no excuse. I guess they don't want our money!

Almost all of this week's DLC can ONLY be found in the Latest section of the PSN Store for AU/EU/UK PS3 users. All except for the Anvil Pack (you can buy the tracks separately), and you have to do a search for "Rock Your Socks" to get the other Tenacious D track. So, if there's anything you wanted from this week - grab it now, because it could be gone this Thursday.

I just hope this gets fixed soon, but i'm not holding my breath. I've prepared myself for the possibility that the same is going to happen this week with the Pearl Jam DLC. We probably won't be able to buy the complete album at a discounted price, or all of the individual tracks won't be available, or who knows, we might not get any of it at all.

This is getting very frustrating now! . I am not sure exactly how it all works but if the Artist gets some kind of royalty for allowing Harmonix to use there content then they are not going to be happy at all. When it comes to dishing out money then i am sure the artists are gonna be very disappointed when they have a big fat zero pay cheque.
I am not sure that anybody in a support function is taking this very seriously. If i did something like this in my job then i would be pulled up in front of my manager by now. I know it seems like a little over reaction but i do get very wound up when i see a problem so obvious not being fixed.

If you can get the Export Key up on the AU/EU Store, you'll make a lot of us happy... you'll be a legend!

The Export Key was only up in the AU PSN Store when Rock Band 1 was released here in Nov. 2008. It disappeared after the following week's PSN update, and since there wasn't a PAL version of Rock Band 2 at the time, I didn't buy it then. :(

You only need to do a search on Google (or other threads in these forums) to see i'm not the only Aussie that can't get the Export Key.

Have you checked your whole store? Yesterday, when I checked out the new DLC, there wasn't a single song from Alice In Chains under "New Releases", but they appeared in "Songs" list. I'm not sure about the pack though.

Well since yesterday (2 hours downtime of PSN) i get the bug that not every song is listed in the Music Store, but in the Playstation Store they are still listed. So e.g. Scars on the Broadway - They Say, 2 of 3 Queens of the Stoneage Songs, 4 of 6 Nine inch Nail Songs, many Songs from Boston (only one left), some Wheezer songs, and many more are missing in the ingame Store.

Furthermore Wheezer - Dreamin isn't marked as already bought, even I bought it. I could buy it again, the price is listed behind this songs, but i got this song already ...

So the ingame Music Store is a mess at the moment. I don't know if it's for everyone in Germany right now, because I read that some guys from the US or UK got the same Problem 1-2 weeks ago, for others there it was working fine. Hey ryko86, are you using the Rock Band 1 or Rock Band 2 disc?

The reason I ask is, i'm in Australia, and if I use the Rock Band 2 disc (BLES00385) to connect to the music store, a lot of the content is either missing or already marked as "purchased".

Whereas, if I use the Rock Band 1 disc, everything that's in the AU PSN Store shows up in the music store.

Try connecting to the Music Store using the Rock Band 1 disc. If there's songs still missing from there (and they're up in your PSN Store), then put the missing songs in a post here and hopefully one of the HMX guys will look into it.

Well but I hope they will fix it nevertheless, because I don't want to change discs forever ...

I noticed the same thing today. They Say, David Bowie's Queen ***** and Moonage Daydream, Boston songs etc.
Also, half of albums have gone missing. And By half, I really mean half. Moving Pictures, Peace Sells... But Who's Bying? and Blood Sugar Sex Magik are wholely missing, and half of The Cars' album is gone. Weird.

Yeah, same problem here. I just got RB 2 today, though I've rented it a few times before. I had purchased some NIN from the store and was going to get some Rush today--but lo and behold when I went to find Rush in the band list, there was nothing, and as you mentioned Xeropop, no Megadeth either (that was next on my list.)

I've also noticed that "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" is gone. What's more, they aren't even showing up in the Playstation store. Hopefully they'll get this fixed soon.

Yep, seems DLC is disappearing again.

It was all working on the AU PSN Store last time I checked, but the Alice In Chains Pack is missing, and i'm guessing there's a bunch of other tracks/packs missing too.

Some can be found by doing a search on the PSN Store, but others have just vanished!

I don't think it's HMX's fault this time... I don't know what Sony's doing but there's content disappearing or not being added, and there's a broken image (with no DLC) for a game called Red Faction:Guerrilla which has been that way for over 3 weeks now. Perhaps it's just messed up in the Australian PSN Store???

A few of the DLC for the U.S. store has broken images also, and basically the images were never fixed. I recently downloaded all my stuff again on a new PS3, and the images were still broken on those few songs, months later.

Has anyone in the U.S. store having trouble with this week's DLC? I don't see this week's stuff under New Releases, however, I did see Head Over Feet in the H section, but I didn't see either of the track packs in the Track Packs section... I'll check again later today.

EDIT: I must have checked it in the middle of updating or something, because it's all there now.

Even this week's PSN Update was late... usually it's all good to go by 2-3am my time, but wasn't all up until later today (Friday).

I bought the Electric Six Pack (no problems there). Also bought one of the Raconteurs songs "Many Shades Of Black" and that had a broken image whilst it was downloading from the AU PSN Store. A lot of weird things happening lately.

Most of all, i'd love for the Export Key to be put back, so if you could make that happen, you'd be a legend... there's a lot of Aussies that would love to have it.

There's probably a bunch of other tracks/packs that are missing too, but thankfully i've bought everything i've wanted, well, except for the Export Key... that's still missing :(

Just a short update / feedback:

Version PS3, German PSN Store

Everything now back to normal for me, since last Thursday (EU PSN Update day). Missing songs are back in the ingame music store of Rock Band 2, like Scars on the Broadway & Nine Inch Nails & some more :) (they were only available in Rock Band 1 ingame music store for about one week)

Strange... we've got that one on the AU PSN Store (yep, under Latest, and also Games Add-Ons/Rock Band/Tracks/W-Z).

Thanks for the Queen Pack, but I'm still missing "What's my age again" by Blink-182. This song is not available in German PSN Store (nor in the Ingame Store). I searched for "blink" but just found an Guitar Hero Version of the song in the PSN Store.

Update: All songs are again available in finnish Rock Band Store. Except for Last Resort, that is.

Thanks for the tip, i didn't even know that this is a rock band song :D I could only download it right out of the PSN Store, because it wasn't listed in the Ingame Music Store! (just searched for "papa")

Nothing's changed.

More importantly, why is it that Australia/NZ seem to be the only countries that don't have the Export Key in their PSN Store?

If you can't find any songs in your PSN Store, have you tried connecting to the Rock Band Music Store using the Rock Band 2 disc (or if you happen to have a copy of Rock Band 1 - try that)?

Perhaps DLC for the game isn't available in the Czech Republic.

I'm not sure. You might have to ask others that live in your country or wait for someone from Harmonix to comment.
