Would you be willing to pay for the patch to allow PS3 Les Pauls (and 360 ones if the rumor is true) to be played on Rock Band? I'm thinking just something like $5 or under, nothing huge. I'm not sure what kind of money Acitivision wants from Harmonix, but at least this would help HMX out some.

Edit: To clear things up, I'm not one way or the other, just looking to see what everybody else thought

simply put... no..

Patches = fixes to screw ups from the company...

Why would a customer have to pay for that? That's pretty much the same as being charged $5 for your faulty guitars and drum pedals...

I agree... the patch should not cost money. Just be patient, Activision will break eventually and you everything will be fine.

No, not one cent. It's not a matter of money, it's the principle. Once the precedent is set the consumer will get nickled and dimed to death from all the 3rd party periph makers who want to charge a license fee to use thier controllers. Other than the extra cost, I have more than enough plastic periphs laying around here without having to buy special controllers for every damn game I buy. Next thing you know we'll have to buy special activision control pads to play Call of Duty, pads that won't work with anything else unless we buy a "patch" for it. No Thanks.

No one can say for sure that it's money that Activision wants. But I think any payment or compensation to Activision is completely unacceptable, and I truely would hope that HMX would not give out any payment of any kind.
If HMX has to scrap the patch because Activision wants to try to push their weight around then I would be behind them 100%.
I am willing to wait for the stand alone guitars.

I'd wait and buy another standalone Strat before paying Activision to make things work the way they should have in the first place.

Not that I honestly think I'll ever buy a standalone Strat... it just seems wrong to have to buy four guitars for two two-player only guitar games.

If harmonix got 100% then I would consider it, but there is no way in hell I am giving sorry ass activision anything. I would rather wait for harmonix to get individual guitars to market, which I bet they are trying to figure out a quick way to make that happen.

It should have worked in the first place!
