PS3 resolution question.

OK, so I have a TV (in 1080p), an HDMI cable hooked up (obviously), and my system is ready to go. But, whenever I play a game that is 1080p compatible, it automatically reverts too 720p! In the display menu, I have all of the compatible resolutions highlighted, so when I want to view a game in 1080p, I have to turn 720p and 1080i off all together. Shouldn`t the game automatically play in 1080p if I stated that my TV is compatible with it. Why do I have to turn off the other resolutions every time; pointers greatly appreciated!

Not all games support 1080p. Check the back of the box of the game you're playing for the resolutions that it supports.

Oh sorry. That would have been the easiest fix.

That's the only piece of PS3 resolution advice I know, too. heh
