I think it would be amazing if Rock Band came out with 2 new games... one for Jimi Hendrix and one for The White Stripes. These two games would be kick ass and amazing... and most importantly, chalenging. the games being chalenging is what makes thte games great. Jimi Hendrix and Jack White are both guitar GODS, and having the games or atleast a few DLC's for them would be amazing. I have been waiting for a Jimi Hendrix Rock Band for a long time... lol... so i hope to see a game or DLC for him in the near futur. ^_^

Activision doesn't own Jimi, only the Hendrix estate owns the rights to Jimi Hendrix. There's a reason the Hendrix packs cannot be bought as singles and the Hendrix songs probably aren't exportable.

@OP
The White Stripes would be challenging? Really? I can't see their songs getting higher than the fourth tier.

You want a full band game for a band that depending on the song is missing either Guitar or Bass?

White Stripes have 6 albums. And who exactly have they influenced?

The White Stripes? Seriously? They've been active, for what? 8 years? What band could possibly create a serious and lasting body of work in only 8 YEARS?!

LOL The Beatles of course.

All joking aside, mentioning Jimi Hendrix and Jack White as both "Rock Gods" is sort of like mentioning that a 1963 Corvette Stingray and a Ford Focus are both "Car Gods".

i didnt mean that, of course i know that. i ment they own the rights to be in the game like hmx owns now AC/DC and GNR's aswell as beatles they are contracted to that game only is probably a better term for you

what would be a good one would be a either 3 or 4 seperated games, the 4th depending on ringo's solo career.
Rock Band: George Harrison
Rock Band: John Lennon
Rock Band: Paul McCartney
Rock Band: Ringo Starr

or one rock band based on the solo careers after the beatles 4 different story modes for each member

id say single game releases each band member over a year one every quater but yer probably wouldnt happen, id love them make one for george be awesome!

This isn't Guitar Hero. They should release all of that as DLC.

Trying to place Jack White in the same category as Hendrix is just... WRONG.

I don't even want to endure a White Stripes 3-pack, much less an entire game. Not a huge Hendrix fan, but at least he would be just a tad more iconic.

... What. White Stripes having their own game? No thanks. There's not really any big story to tell, and their songs aren't exactly what you would call "legendary".

I think that, after TBRB, any band that HMX is going to make a game specifically for would have to have just as much influence over the music world as the Beatles. Also, I think it's fair to assume that they would be looking for artists that have not yet been featured in a Rock Band or Guitar Hero game. It's not a requirement, but I think that's the route they're looking at.

While Jimi Hendrix was very influential to music, he was already featured in Guitar Hero and last I checked, they owned the rights. Maybe things changed, I dunno. Don't get your hopes up.

Concerning the White Stripes; Are they really on the same pedestal as The Beatles? I wouldn't think so.

I have a thread about stuff like this, and like I said in there, the only ones that would make sense would be super famous, popular stuff. Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen, and The Who would all be cool.

Amen! White Stripes are good, but no where near Hendrix-level awesome.
