If they're counting "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" / "With a Little Help from My Friends" as two songs, why aren't they counting "Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows" as two? That makes 45.

I'm not doubting that there's a 45th song yet to be revealed. I'm just wondering why they're counting one mashup as two songs and another as only one in the official count.

Because Sgt. Pepper/With a Little Help counts as 2 songs on Sgt. Pepper and Within You/Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows counts as one song on Love.

Because Sgt Pepper's and With a Little Help were released as two separate tracks on the Sgt Pepper's album. Within you/Tomorrow was released as a single mash up on the Love soundtrack.

Exactly, the track from Love is a mashup, not one song continuing into the next.

Because Sgt. Pepper isn't a mash up, it's two different songs. Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows is two songs that were combined, and Sgt. Pepper/With A Little Help... is two songs that follow each other and fade into each other.

Because SPLHCB - WALHFMF actually is two songs played back to back, whereas WYWY/TNK are two songs chopped apart, rearranged, and spliced back together to form a single, new song. You wouldn't be able to play just one half of it and completely reproduce the original work, so it is seen as a single song by itself.
