Ok, I really don't understand this.

For once, HMX actually failed.

The last song is The End. Why? Don't get be wrong, it's a great song, but nobody will play alone. You have to play that song with the rest of the medley, and to that, you have to wait for a month.

So, Radio Chris, NO Real Love.

For me, NO Hey Jude.

For HMX, fail.

BUT, I'll still be buying this game and all, but...seriously?

I was a little surprised by it, too. But I'm over it.

I think I got that shock out of my system a while back. I'm still looking forward to the game. And hopefully, many of these songs will make it to DLC eventually. No singles until next year probably.

HMX failed cause they made one of the best games ever, featuring the best music game and band of all time. They had to limit to 45 songs, but tons of DLC is coming out. They couldn't put in all the songs for obvious reasons. They made amazing dreamscapes for the game. They could have just done another AC/DC project with this. They devoted a whole game for The Beatles. Man, they failed.

/sarcasm

And I for one, will play The End every time I play the game!

The last song is The End. Why?

I don't understand why people continue to feel the need to ask a question where the answer is so blatantly obvious.

*sigh*

You don't get what I said.

They failed on the last song. Not on the whole game overall.

No I perfectly understood, and they didn't fail on the last song. They may have to you, but I'm sure more than half of the people here expected that or wanted it. So they didn't fail at all.

... it's a great song, but nobody will play alone....

I will.

People need to quit complaining about crap that really doesn't matter. It's a lame waste of bandwidth and this is actually wasting my time replying to. We get it...you believe that you know what is best. Now be quiet about it and let everyone enjoy the game that HMX created.

1. You don't need to reply.
2. It does matter, because the whole ****ing game ends with a song that shouldn't have been "The End".

They didn't fail at all. Not even close. Not one song is a disappointment and you know it.

Just because it wasn't the song you wanted doesn't mean HMX failed. This song makes more sense anyway, in Rock Band terms.

The only thing I have a problem with in this game is the fact that I Want You (She's So Heavy) doesn't have a dreamscape, and that isn't even confirmed. This game does not have one bit of failure in it.

Can you not understand how much sense that does NOT make?

The Beatles ended their career with a song called "The End." Does it not then tend to make just a *TAD* bit of sense that a story mode about The Beatles career would end with a song called "The End" ???

Jesus Christ. Like the other guy said, stop putting what YOU personally think makes the most sense at the front of the line and instead apply some common sense to the situation.

Well, The End wasn't even the ending of their career.

It's not the last recorded song.

It's not the last track of the album.

You're splitting hairs BIG TIME and you damn well know it.

They never played "And Your Bird Can Sing" at Budokan either. So does that mean the entire game is screwed because it's not 100% historically correct?

Come on.

What is the point in complaining anyways. Suppose HMX had released all 45 tracks instead of leaving one unnamed. People wouldn't be picking out "The End" and talking about how it is a horrible pick so what makes it a horrible pick now?

Agree with the OP, last song is a major disappointment and an extremely bad choice. It would have been epic if it was with Golden Slumbers and Carry that Weight, an epic 3-song suite... save I Want You and Octopus for DLC, I don't care. But the End alone? just won't work.

Especially since many emotional great beatles songs where left out: Hey Jude, A Day in the life, in my life, let it be, real love etc

When they finished Abbey Road, they weren't 100% sure that Let It Be would be releaseable and the only sessions after Abbey Road were after Lennon quit.

I've never missed Golden Slumbers when McCartney plays The End in concert. It can work.

Stop being a whiny little baby.

The End is an epic song with challenging instrumental parts, and "The love you take/ Is equal to the love you make..." is a really great way to end the career.

And, contrary to popular belief, HMX are not idiots. They know that everyone wants Hey Jude/Help!/whatever, and would be utter fools to not give them to us. We will see those songs at some point. If this is not the case, I will eat my shoes.

Sorry you're bummed about the song choice, but I'd really appreciate it if you waited until you actually played the song and finished the game before declaring it an "epic fail". If you play through everything and you decide that it still could have been better, you're more than welcome to respond after 9.9.09 and weigh in with your thoughts.

I think there are tons of people who will play The End without the rest of the medley. It's amazing on every instrument. And thematically, it's a tremendously moving cap to the whole game. Wait til you watch the outro cinematic. It's tremendous.
