so basically, i think my set doesn't register everything i hit, especially on rolls and whatnot...mostly red pad. has anyone got a replacement set? also, do they send just the drum heads (that unit) or a whole new entire set? i think i'm going to have to rma this one...

how long did it take to get a new one?

Same thing happened to mine.

Just don't send in the pedal when you do.. even though the instructions I got said to, they didn't send me a new one.. They sent me everything else, though.

I started my order on the 24th.. and just got the drums back on the 13th.

I got my replacement kit in about a week. The new kit is awesome for registering hits BUT it's horrible at rolls. I added the tape mod and poof - all the roll problems went away. All my scores when up on the new kit cause I could keep the multiplier going!

I've been going back and forth between thinking that one or more pads are bad to being convinced they're all fine. :)

I'll notice "missed hits" while playing a song, even though I know I hit the proper pad at the right moment. Then, at the start of the next song, I'll test each pad with series' of rapid hits (not quite rolls) and they all work fine.

I tend to think I'm mis-hitting at times. Perhaps too close to the rim, or actually hitting the rim higher up on the stick which keeps the tip from striking the pad at the right time. I wouldn't necessarily hear the rim-hit since I play with headphones.

I'm going to try the mod I saw using extra foam pieces from my mutes to increase the sensor's sensitivity.
