If Rock Band is anything other than awesome, it is a party game. And if there's anything a good party needs, it's booze. Some would say that alcohol consumption results in lethargy, and maybe they're right because after getting tired of reaching around or half getting up from behind the drum kit to get my hands on some beer I decided to take a stand. Two hours, $10 worth of hardware stuff, and one beer later- my dream was realized.
Behold:

As of right now it is being held on by zip ties and I've taken advantage of the little ledge there on the actual drum kit. One thing I wanted not to do was to go drilling into the thing in case I need to RMA it, which I probably will in the future.

It is just a 3" PVC pipe female end with a cap screwed into it. Then I just epoxied it to a bit of wood that I sawed a notch into.

Inside I glued in some bits of $1.50 pipe insulation grip onto the beer glass (or can) and keep it stable.
So far it has worked wonderfully- I just tested it by playing through Maps on expert and not a bit of sloshing went on. I'd like to in the future improve the overall stability of the wood base as the square bit of wood can slide around on the round drum leg.
Alright, have a good weekend- I have some more "testing" to under take

If you need another tester, I'm willing to consume my share ;)

Am I the only person here who doesn't have somewhere (a cupholder, flat surface, or unwilling friend) near my drums to put a soda on?

We have to sit on our table as a chair in our apartment when we play drums, so we are pretty lucky. There are holes in it to, so you can set your beer under the table out of harms way while your playing/doing other things and then just grab it when you need it.

That is awesome! I have a table on either side of my drums so I am set, but if I needed to I would put a cup holder on it.

Great idea. I just use a TV tray next to my stool, but whatever works. As long as the beer is near-to-hand.
This is Rock Band, after all. Not Pat Boone Band. Or for the younger set, Mitt Romney Band.
Anyone who can't play just as well after 8 to 12 beers, has a lot of practicing to do if they want the title Rock God.
JK.... sort of.

Nice, I made a cupholder too, except it doesnt have a block of wood :P. I have a clamp on cup holder that I just clamped onto the stand thing on the left side of my drum kit.

i just use a near by table, but this is brilliant right here haha..
this is one of those quick DIY's that isn't ground breakingly helpful, but gives you the bragging rights and cool points that ur friends' drum sets do not have:cool:

I posted this like a month ago (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=10707). There's even a pre-made part you can get.
