Do you think that a full set of peripherals will be hard to come by come release date?

I know with gh2 the controllers were tough to come by if you wanted to get a second one.

Will this game face shortages? I'm just contemplating whether an online preorder is neccessary.

Yes.

Yup.

I think so.

It's expensive to build and store a large inventory of the hardware devices, so they will probably not ramp up full-scale production until about 30-60 days before release.

I think Rock Band is likely to be this holiday's Wii Sports, and if that happens you're going to see a run on the hardware, and probably even inflated E-Bay resales.

Thats what i'm fearing..............I couldnt possibly wait any longer than a few days after release date. Guess i should preorder sometime this month

I'll pre-order as soon as we hear the pricing, because I need to know what kind of bundle I should order (I'm not concerned about price, I just want to get a guitar, drumset and mic). But as soon as it's announced, I'm definitely not going to risk disappointment and order the whole goddamn thing at EB.

I really don't want to preorder from gamestop, i'd prefer a Best Buy which is a huge company and will get a lot more copies

I've never pre-ordered from them. Although none of my pre-orders at EB have ever fallen through, Rock Band is a special case. The nearest Best Buy is also a 30 minute drive though.

yeah..larger companies will get more inventory..therefore they are more relaible to go to...gamestop likely won't have enough by the time i get there if i preorder it

has anyone here ever ordered online through gamestop and had it shipped to them?

i wonder if that is more reliable

Im in the UK and I still can not buy the GH2 guitar on its own ffs.

So I guess RB stuff will be hard to come by. And yes, expect to see it on ebay for really stupid prices.

I don't know if there will be shortages or not, but why deal with the chance at all? Just pre-order it all, thats the best thing to do, that way you are guaranteed what you want without all the trouble of going to a store.

Same in Australia. With the release of Rock Band things will HAVE to change. There's no way they can expect us to buy the game+guitar then the game+drums then the game+mic then the game+guitar again.

What's that? like, $550, and you have 4 copies of the game. It's gonna have to be different.

Also hoping they don't force people to buy it in 1 big pack (although that's what I'll be doing)
