Less than a week to go and I haven't heard hide nor hair about the following things.

Does the bundled Mic have any special branding or have a different appearance a recent post on the forums linked to this article showing an amazing looking mic

But I'm not sure if this is image speculation, legit info, 3rd party peripheral or just wishful thinking.

The man FAQ hear is still unclear if a USB hub will be packaged with the bundle. How are we going to hook up all these mics.

Has anyone officially said anything about what we're going to be singing into?

Everything else is wireless, unless you're using older RB1 or GH gear. If you need to hook up more than that, you will probably need a powered USB hub. I know Best Buy sells the official Rock Band powered USB hub for $15.

I'm planning on getting Lips when I see it for $40 or less locally - a pair of wireless mics will let us go completely wireless!

I understand that but it seems odd that RB 1 included a hub and RB:TB would include something as extravagant as a mic stand and not a hub, seeing as the Hub is actually required for the full out 6 player gameplay and probably cheaper to produce than the stand.

But it's not required for full gameplay in the Beatles bundle! As I said before, the guitars and drums are wireless. The reason the XBox RB1 bundle included a hub was because the drums and guitars were wired, so it was necessary.

If you're buying the bundle, you shouldn't need a hub, unless you're using older instruments.

But in RB1 everything was wired. Now the mic is the only thing wired.

Ninja'd! :p

Will PS3 bundle still have the Hub/Dongles?

Someone posted a link to the instruction manual from the FCC, which had an outline of the microphone. The outline was in the shape of the regular Rock Band 1/2 microphone.

Even if the guitars and drums are wireless, you still need a USB port to plug in the dongle, at least that's how it is with PS3.

Yeah, no. with the 360, everything is internal. They actually have officially licensed Microsoft wireless technology in the guitar. Whereas with Sony... well... I don't know what the hell Sony is doing but you need a USB Dongle.

This is correct. As a 360 owner, it is crazy to think I'd need something plugged into my console when using wireless instruments.

EDIT* I forgot to mention that during the QVC deal, they showed the mic and mic stand very shortly in a promo. It is a tripod based stand. Here's what it looks very similar to.

The dongles is a huge reason I keep away from music games on the PS3. If sony can't support wireless instruments then I see a problem. I mean Microsoft has been pretty well guarded with letting people use their wireless technology, but they let Harmonix and Red Octane license it. Maybe MadCatz for the Fender Precision Bass... not sure because I don't have it. Either way. I don't want this to be a Sony Versus Microsoft thread. Mostly because I own both and enjoy both as they both have their equal advantages and disadvantages.

But we are talking about the XBox here. ;)

I never mentioned any type of console other than the 360 in my post. ;)
