Quality of RB DLC killing the competition

You guys see the latest group of DLC for GH3? I used to be a Guitar Hero addict. Now GH3 hasn't wormed its way back into my console since Nov. 20 - the release date for Rock Band.

RB has a stronger on-disc setlist and is killing in the DLC department. I love DLC and want more, more, more, but this newly announced GH3 stuff is lame. This is really the best they could do? Even the tracks they selected from these bands are subpar.

Last week RB gave us the Buzzcocks, The Clash and Ramones. This week we get Radiohead and Weezer mastertracks. Who's getting the better value? Notch another win for Rock Band.

Those are some pretty lame tracks but I'm not going to bash Guitar Hero because if it wasn't for that game I would of never wanted to play Rock Band, that game pretty much got us all into loving these games in the first place am I right?

Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II did that. Not Guitar Hero III, developed by a different company and sporting a completely different feel. Based on that logic, it's okay for you to bash them. :)

I don't know pretty Handsome awkward is decent, they definitely could have chosen a better LP song and I don't know who that other band is.

Mastadon is actually amazing but the other songs blow... I will not pay 6.00 for mastadon unfortunatlly. A shame it wasn't a single download. They should have choossen a better Mastadon song too.

I've never heard that song before, but it ROCKS!!!! I'm amazed Activision is been very open minded here by making Spanish Rock DLC

Now, HMX I know you are a way better company than Activision so I hope you can match them by releasing some good Spanish Rock DLC

I would still like to play it...but I refuse to pay those outrageous prices for GH's DLC. Not to mention they're screwing of PS3 users...

I think you guys can guess how i feel about these new songs. But even though mastodon is my favorite band ever and i im going to buy the pack immediately (even though i hate linkin park), i still have to say to say that rock band has much better dlc, both in quality and quantity, i mean come on black sabbath, metallica, queens of the stone age, the who (hopefully soon). AND ITS CHEAPER, AND YOU GET TWICE AS MUCH!

So guitar hero saved itself with mastodon (and a great song choice too in my opinion, i thought for sure when i read in this post that mastodon was going to be dlc i thought for sure it was going to be Colony Of Birchmen).

All we need now is a Mastodon pack for RB so that Brann Dailor can kick all of our asses.

Oh man, Linkin Park and The Used can go off and cut themselves in a corner, but I'd KILL for some Mastodon DLC in Rock Band. Imagine The Wolf Is Loose on drums...

Also, Sleeping Giant isn't that bad of a pick, the main guitar line is pretty awesome.

Oh, wow, Trust! I dont expect anyone around here to have heard of them, but its quite an obscure band for anyone outside of France to know about. They were really big around the late 70s/late 80s and they once had Nicko McBrain and Clive Burr in the band. Anthrax also covered this very song, "Antisocial".

I hope Rock Band can get some great bands like this. (other than the dominating english-speaking artists.)
