more Metal (of various sub-genres)

The Metallica is a decent start, but we need more. I know the death metal stuff probably wouldn't translate very well for vocals, but I'm sure a lot of thrash & power metal would.

Just some bands I'd like to see...

the obvious classics....

more Iron Maiden
more Metallica
Judas Priest
Megadeth
Anthrax
Slayer (I'd love to have Raining Blood with a note chart that isn't stupidly hard to play)

and some lesser known stuff

Iced Earth
Nevermore
Testament
Mystic Prophecy
Arch Enemy
Nightwish
Opeth
Shadows Fall
Manowar
Dream Theater
Into Eternity
Dark Tranquility
Death

..and I'll stop there before I end up listing 50 or 60 bands

I do agree that the game does need more metal, but I kind of disagree with the no death metal thing.

Yes the vocals would be more of a challenge but you wouldn't have to actually scream like they do in the song, you'd just have to sing in the same pitch as the scream, or even speaking the words might work for you. Some songs I personally would love to play would be:

Entombment of A Machine by Job For A Cowboy
Black Label by Lamb of God (the drums would be INSANE)
Bleeding Mascara by Atreyu
Heretics and Killers by Protest The Hero
Silent Night, Bodom Night by Children of Bodom
Hit The Floor by Bullet For My Valentine

And then some lesser known (and more hardcore genre wise) stuff:

A Shot Below The Belt by August Burns Red
Slow Dance by Bring Me The Horizon
Dressed For Friend Requests by Drop Dead Gorgeous
Columbian Necktie by I Killed The Prom Queen (the beginning breakdown would be awesome to play)

dude, A Shot Below The Belt is such a good song. Consumer is awesome too, along with Your Little Suburbia Is In Ruins. There's so many good August Burns Red songs.

But yeah Rock Band needs more hardcore and death metal, or at least more metal in general.
