View Full Version : Tilt Sensor Problems?

I think my tilt sensor might be broken.
When I'm playing it'll use my Energy when I'm just playing horizontally.
But then when I purposely try to activate it by tilting it up, it doesn't work.
Sometimes it will work if i stand up, hold it at a 90 degree angle, and shake it (which messes me up, losing my multiplier, thus making Energy pointless).
Anyone else have any problems with this?
Also, I've tested my pads by going into a practice big rock ending at 50% speed... and i just hit each drum eight times at moderate speed and it only registers six or seven of the hits on each of my drums.
So I don't think they are sensitive enough, but I think every single set has this problem right? So can I send it in for replacement? Will the new one even be any better?

Maybe you shouldn't do it at 50% (which is slow motion)? Maybe you should try 90%.

i did it at 50% that way i'd have more time to go around the drums.
but i've done it on full speed too...
i've looked into modding, and one mod used a circle of rubber foam to but under the sensor to put more pressure on it, thus making it more sensitive... I tried this on my red drum and found no difference. my green pad is the most sensitive. it rarely misses.
yet i found it surprising that most people have the most problem with their red and green pads... because for me it's mostly the yellow (which is a big problem because hi hat is what you use the most).
but about the guitar, i should definitely replace that right? and how do you go about doing that? i know i could probably read up on it and find out myself, but i haven't replaced anything yet and don't know where i go or who i contact.

I'm having the same problem with my gutiar.
It will activiate overdrive even with horizontal. And raising it vertical WON'T activiate overdrive. Basically, if I want to voluntarily turn it on, I have to hit the 'back' button... otherwise it will just go on it's own (so usually I have none to use anyway...).

A link to that thread sure would come in handy.

your answer is the bumped thread. I typed "Overdrive" into the search in this forum option, and then looked for one written by me that says "Overdrive doesn't work with replacement guitar?"
