No.
However, your username, if true, is quite nice.

Quick recommendation:

Buy a PS3 if you must get a new console for this game. You can get the new Slim for 300 dollars, and all of your Rock Band instruments from the PS2 will work for the PS3, no questions asked.

The Xbox 360 is only $300 now for a 120GB HD and $250 for a 60 GB HD, but it's $50 to play online with other people and $100 for a wireless adapter (unless you get one used). All You Need Is Love is a 360 exclusive for a period of time.

As long as we're shamelessly hawking consoles, the new $300 PS3 Slim also has a 120 GB hard drive and its online service is 100% free. It also has built-in Wi-Fi for wireless online, no extra charge. As mentioned, if you have the Rock Band instruments for PS2, you'll be able to use them on PS3.

It'll get "All You Need is Love" down the road.

Yeah and he'd need to get instruments which could add up quick.

Totally off subject here, but I didn't even know the PS3 Slim was out. I don't follow the console much, but after seeing it, I may reconsider repurchasing a PS3. It probably still won't get much play time...but at least it's less of an eyesore now. :)

Oh, and on subject, if you already have the instruments for your PS2, definitely go with a PS3. If not...either will do just fine.

I posted on this in an earlier thread. I own all three, but I play Rock Band on the Xbox. Even though I think XBL is far superior to PSN, it just doesn't make sense to tell a PS2 user to chuck everything out and buy an Xbox.

The new pricing for the 120GB versions of the PS3 Slim and the Xbox360 Elite are not equal. Even if you don't count the XBL subscription, the Xbox comes out to a hundred dollars more than the PS3. And this is coming from a loyal Xbox player (but apparently not a fanboy).

PS2 is last gen. You do realize there comes a time when software developers must stop supporting aging systems. Just FYI, they no longer make NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PS1, Gamecube, and XBOX games.

Harmonix did not **** it up. They care about the people who actually are up to date with reality, not living in the past.

If you need a new system, I would suggest the PS3.

1. Wireless internet card is included
2. Online play is free
3. And it's also a blu-ray player
