Quick Question with headset...

I play online with my buddy, he plays drums and i do guitar. We were wondering if we each had headsets, we could talk to each other without having to sing in the game?
If so, do I just have it connected like all other games and we'll be able to hear each other when we are both on?

I believe there is voice chat. I've done it. Oh, and as a vocalist, hold down a trigger to chat.

I'm not sure on this but i dont think there is voice chat for ps3. I play on 360 and we have voice chat in game. Even if we didn't, private chat solves the issue if you're just wanting to chat with a single person.

i have a PS3 and planning on getting this for christmas.. but how can it be fun if you can't even have a headset mic chatting with buddies?
