OK, I got the game and a I have a Samsung usb microphone. I don't have the usb hub. How do I make the mic work, like what are the exact steps to take?
1. Turn on XBox 360
2. ???
Thanks in advance.

1. Turn on Xbox
2. Start Rock Band game
3. Plug in USB mic into Xbox
4. Use standard xbox wireless controller to navigate through menus
5. Sing.

That's what I thought (hoped), but after #4, I go to the Tutorial and it says no microphone detected :( Is there something about hitting the A button or plugging the mic into a certain usb slot or anything?

It should work plugged into any port. Try unplugging it and putting it back in a second time. Sometimes that works.

Or try plugging it into a different USB port.
If none of these solutions work, your USB mic may not be supported.

I'm guessing it's not supported. It's a Samsung C03U, and when I used it on Windows, it didn't prompt for a driver install so I didn't think that was a problem, but maybe Windows has a default driver it is using that the 360 doesn't.
Oh well, the headset connected to a wireless controller works for now.
