Ok so this a thread that is probably started some where on here already but can someone please explain to me why there is going to be Beatles DLC featuring songs that are already on the disc? Thank you

No there will not be any DLC for the normal platform from the Beatles.
All Beatles songs are on the Beatles: Rock Band and it's DLC.

If you are referring to the announcement listing all of the songs on the albums announced for DLC, it was simply saying that you could play all those songs on the game after getting the DLC.

Uh... there won't be! But I think I know what you are getting at. Any songs that are on-disc from Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper's, or Rubber Soul (or any more future full albums) won't be released as DLC, only the other songs from that album will be released.

Yes that's what I mean, thanks for clearing that up. The announcement of the upcoming DLC albums included songs that are on disc already, just don't understand why the songs showed up there if they are on disc already. When Harmonix announced Album DLC for an Artist that is on the Rock Band 2 Disc for example the Foo Fighters The Colour And The Shape they didn't announce Everlong, so why do it for The Beatles?

So when buyng the albums we're just paying for the missing songs? Does anyone know the savings we make by buying the album rather than individual tracks?

Abby Road is just under $17(it's 16 and some change). That's for 12 tracks (and a 16 minute medley that you can only get when you buy the full album).
So if 12 tracks by themselves are 1.99, you'd be paying almost $24 to get them alone, compared to $17 buying it as an album, and you also get the bonus medley.

Nope no DLC that is already on disc. We listed the whole albums because we were keeping a few songs secret.

Or are you talking about earlier before you released the set song list?

Huh? No we were keeping the final song "The End" secret so we listed all the songs on all three albums so people wouldn't know whether it was on disc or a download.

Oh Sean, you sneaky bugger you.
Really looking forward to some DLC. What I wonder is....will they just have recycled dreamscapes?? Or will the DLC songs have dreamscapes specific to them?

...or it could be that with some of the album downloads the actual number of tracks you'll actually be downloading is so small, it would look pathetic and expensive to only list the downloadable tracks without the on-disk tracks.

New custom dreamscapes for every song. Still $1.99. HOW DO WE DO IT?!?!?!

I honestly don't know but dammit is it ever appreciated. The game itself is so beautiful and great that it alone would be more than enough for me but with the added DLC it's simply amazing.
Thank you Harmonix and anyone who had a part in it's making.

I just want to quickly chime in here and ask if we will eventually be able to play "With a Little Help From my Friends" seperately from "Sgt. Pepper.." It's a great medly, but I can totally see parties where all they want to play is "With a Little Help From my Friends". If downloading the album will give me the option to split them up then I am totally for it!
Also, any idea when "All you Need is Love" is coming as DLC for the PS3?? I really want to play this song!

I hope the DLC eventually includes "You Know My Name, Look Up The Number"... I think that one would be a trip. :)

I'm stunned that you're able to do it, honestly. I suppose perhaps it isn't quite reinventing the wheel, but it's still a huge gamechanger. And from what I understand, the file size is lower than the size of a normal Rock Band DLC song. That's the trick that I want to know. Did you learn a new compression technique, is it having to do with only designing for one set of characters, or what?

I ... for one ... will be continuing to watch this site for any announcements of DLC content. I want to be sure I don't miss any!

I'm getting these but it seems odd that it appears cheaper to buy Sgt Peppers on its own as 8 seperate tracks than as bundle.

Where are you getting that from, given that, as far as I've seen, the pricing for the full Sgt. Peppers album has yet to be announced?

On the Official site it says all albums are going to be 1360 for Xbox

No, it says Abbey Road is 1360 MS Points. Albums are priced depending on how many songs they contain. Look at RB DLC, and the albums that have been released there. The Megadeth and Rush albums were 880 MS Points containing 7 songs each, whereas Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, No Doubt, and Guns 'N Roses were all 1600 points for between 12 and 16 songs each.
You can count on a lower price point for Sgt. Peppers than for Abbey Road.

Maybe they'll include a bonus song for the lock-groove that was on the LP? And it lasts until you quit out of it!
