Ok so i was very skeptical about beatles rockband. Especially when i heard GH5 pull out johnny cash and Kurt Cobain. On top of that, though i used to love sergent pepper, i always considered beatles a "boy bad". What hurt me the most was how i so wanted Rockband 3, compared to (my brother said it correctly) GH5 and its Slap a Mole gameplay. but after playing beatles rockband i now know why they made this instead of rockband 3.
But besides all that. We're do we go from here? I would love to see Rockband take another band and give it the attention to detail that they paid to the Beatles. i mean not only is the game great on a song for song basis, but the attention to detail the payed to the bands career (compared to other band games like GH Arrowsmith or Metallica) was amazing. But the question is if rockband were to do it again, what band could possibly give them the ability to live up to the beatles game. Did they shot them selves in the foot by making something thats going to be very very difficult to follow up? I mean what band can give us the breadth of performances to focus on that the beatles did??
I'm thinking MAYBE the Doors?
Zed Leppelin is who i would love to see the follow up by, but what show's did Zeppelin do that were completely memorable?
Beatles for example, i think everyone had heard of them on the Ed Sullivan Show, and when they did the rooftop concert.
other bands that has very memorable performances would be hendrix at woodstop, metallica when hetfield set himself on fire (LOL). But seriously what band give's us the history that could actually follow up beatles rockband.
Only Group i can think of is the doors....and making a rockband esq keyboard wouldnt be that hard.....

thinking more about this. i am really thinking The Doors is who rockband needs to focus on. I mean the doors on ed sullivan. The Doors @ the wiskey. The doors at the later show's when jim is all ****ed up.
The doors would make a GREAT rockband game. just like beatles would. And i can think of no other band....
Hear me! dont let jim fall prey to GH like jimmy, kurt, johnny, and so many others have. Give us a proper game centered around the career of the Doors...

Floyd would be fin awesome...
my only gribs would floyd wouldnt be that diversity
But then again we got barett floyd, then waters (the best floyd) and i guess we could go beyond that to gilmore (though i dont see why anyone would care).
I love floyd. I just wonder if thats going to much brit after beatles. But if it were Floyd or Doors i would be sooooo ****ing happy.

well actually the only song i like from the Guilmour era is High Hopes, the only song who had a real "pink floyd" vibe in my own oppinion.
But song like Comfortably numb, Echoes, one of these day on rock band would be epic i guess

I hope they Do Not make any other (band specific) games. We dont need Rock band turnin into GH. But rock band Sooo needs some doors and floyd DLC.....

no no no. Rock band 2 is perfect. all it needs is DLC for those bands. See the problem isnt the band game. its that GH just turns them out like butter.
Beatles rockband was a game of heart. You can tell the detail paid. the time they took. Let rockband make another game for another band like that, and let them take the time to give it the care it needs, instead of just pumping something out to make a quick buck.
Seriously for a non band specific game what is needed in rockband? Nothing. Just keep adding new kick ass DLC. put your effort into making another GREAT band game like Beatles.

I think the best thing would be to never do another single band game. Anybody after the Beatles would be a huge step down. If they could get Led Zeppelin, I could see that as working pretty well, but it'd have to be different and more like a straight Guitar Hero: Band game. The things that makes the Beatles special, the personalities and career story and dreamscapes and the sheer love the world has for them, will not carry over to any other band game.

I came on here to mention Pink Floyd, looks like others are thinking the exact same thing. Led Zeppelin would also work, but Floyd would be great.

the main reason why i think doors would make a great "band" game is there career were the story mode can take you.... Beatles rockband i almost felt like iw as the beatles going through the story made. Thats what i really liked about it. It was much more then just playing a bands songs. I can think of only few bands that a game could be made to give you that feeling. Thats were the doors came in. But after i said that and floyd came up. i'm thinking
Floyd is who the next game should be made after....

i'm not asking for hmx to spit out band games. i'm asking them to take the time to pay homid to those bands who deserve it and give them games like beatles. and i can only think of 3 bands that deserve that
Doors, Floyd, Zeppelin

I believe that Harmonix already has another "band only" game in the works already, just no names yet. And Rock Band 3 is supposed to be set to release within the next 2 years, they said they are not following a cycle of releasing games, ie guitar hero.

The doors would be a boring game for me. I dont like this band. But maybe a Rolling Stones or Pink Floyd rock band would be epic

Ok, here's a left field suggestion, and definately as big as the Beatles: Elvis.
Mostly all guitar based band orientated songs (have guitar, bass, drums, singer as the core) plus Elvis has as colourful a history as the Beatles and has memorable concerts too.
What do you think?

I second that! (No need to be sorry, by the way!) :)
The Beatles Rockband is the first video game I have ever purchased on the release date.
If Harmonix comes out with Pink Floyd Rockband, then I'll do it again! :)
By the way, I'm lovin the game! Thanx guys! :D

The Doors were OK. First album truly broke new ground. After that, not so much until L.A. Woman. I'd be hard pressed to come up with a list of 50 songs I'd want to play.
For me, the Stones are the obvious choice. They, too, have a story to tell, though not as compelling and iconic as The Beatles.
That's part of what makes TB:RB great -- the story and the evolution of the band and its music. It's really the story of rock and the '60s. There's really nothing comparable.
I know what I'd love to see, though it's probably impossible to put together: The Story of Rock (OK, I'll work on the title). Start out with Fats Domino, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, the white knockoffs, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Eddie Cochrane, the British blues rock movement, the British invasion, American psychedelic, new wave, punk. Now that would be a story worthy of an experience-oriented game like The Beatles.

Queen!!!
absurdly difficult vocal challenge, good guitars, great history, venues like wembley, they could add a keyboard peripheral (although in beatles they shoul've too) an allover amazing classic rockband that would deserve its own rockband game,
