I've been looking forward to 09/09/09 for so long. The release of Beatles: RB, of course. The long awaited release of the Beatles' remasters. My girlfriend and my anniversary, and the fact that The Beatles are both of our favorite band. It all just seemed to add up to the best day ever, a combination of a few of my all time favorite things:

- Video Games
- Music
- The Beatles
- My girlfriend

Alas, my girlfriend decided to go to Europe with her family. Lame, but it didn't stop me!

Went to the Oakland Blockbuster Midnight Release party on 9/8, saw the Sun Kings (Beatles cover band). My brother won a copy of the game for Xbox, just what we needed to play at midnight! I also won a copy, but then the guy next to me asked if he could trade me his Guitar prize for the software, and I happily obliged: the Gretsch was just what I wanted to win!! Meanwhile, played the demo at Blockbuster, played Beatles Trivial Pursuit to bide time and win more prizes like a White Album puzzle, Abbey Road and Let It Be coasters, a Yellow Submarine key chain. Then we played through half the game after we got it at midnight.

Next morning, picked up my reserved Bundle from Gamestop. Beat the game, and ended up spending the rest of the day playing Vocal Harmonies, practicing them and perfecting, and having a blast. My Remastered Stereo Box Set arrived from Amazon after noon.

Now if only my girlfriend had been here to complete the 3 part harmonies, 09/09/09 would have been a 100% success. As it is, it was just a 99% :D

Damn you and your awesome luck!

I wanted to go to the Oakland release or the San Francisco morning party, but I couldn't because of preset obligations. Still, today rocked anyways.
