I love the Sunburst Stratocaster. The Black and White fenders packaged with Rock Band can't even hold a torch to these. The reason? The not-mushy strum bar of the Sunburst. It's sharp. There's no cushiony feel. So my question is: What are the Beatles guitars like? Are they as sharp as the Sunbursts? Debating picking one of those up.

I have a Gretsch and the strum bar is nearly identical to the RB2 Strat. It's got all the auto-calibration stuff in it, too.

they are exactly the same as the RB2 strats. Hope that helps.

Actually it's not just the Sunbursts strat that has the improved strumbar. The ones that came with the RB2 bundle do as well.
You're talking about the RB1 strats I guess. (Being mushy)

Actually the Sunburst has a much sharper strum. I don't have any rock band 1 instruments. If you own a Sunburst, strum it then strum the Rock Band 2 guitar. You'll feel a difference.

Its most definitely not. Another example of how the Sunburst =/= Rock Band 2 strat is that the green and orange frets on the Sunburst do not have nubs on them. On Rock Band 2 strats the green and orange frets have 4 nubs. All guitars have 5 nubs on the yellow fret.

No.
I had the RB1 but sold it because it's mushy.
RB2 Black=RB2 Sunburst, and I know because I have them both.
Although I do prefer my black one, the sunburst broke too quickly.
And I also have the Bundle Hofner, but this one doesn't have a problem in the strum, it's the farther fret location that sux. It hurts my arm. :(

If they're the same then what about the fret makings I described above?
The only other option is I got a kickin Sunburst or two very crappy Rock Band 2 guitars.

This is the one I bought about 6 months back. The differences are small, but I'll list them. I might get pics later.
1. The strum bar is much better. It has a better spring return to the neutral position, it also has a much shorter travel to strum. It feels like a Guitar Hero guitar without the clicking.
2. The effects switch is shaped more like a road cone. The top of the switch is blocked off, not rounded off like the black and white Fender.
3. The effects switch travels easier. The black and white Fender clicks into place alot harder than the Sunburst.
4. The markings on the Sunburst only exist on the yellow fret button near the top. Not the green and orange fret button markings, like on the black and white guitar.
I'll have to take a video or pictures, but those are the differences. It's not like I'm the only one who loves this guitar either. My neighbors both have the black and white Fenders and hate playing with them. They usually play on their Les Paul/WT guitars. When they come over to my house, they demand the Sunburst. I need to order another one of these...
Whatever, believe me or not, I know the differences and I can prove them. I'm probably just gonna wait til Gamestops start having the Beatles guitars for testing though, I don't want to get stuck with another Black and White Fender that I hate playing on.

I disagree.
I have the Black and White RB2, Sunburst RB2 and Hofner Bass, and my fave is the B&W RB2.
The buttons are NOT clicky, and it has a shorter range for the frets, unlike the Hofner that has the frets buttons wayyyyyy too far.
