I AM TRYING MY HARDEST TO DOWNLOAD THIS SONG! I can't believe a bunch of teenagers made it. I mean the drummer is 13 years old! That's awesome. But how do I get the song? Please someone tell me how because I really want that song badly. Thanketh for your helpeth.

It's a bonus song, not DLC. So all you have to do to unlock it is go to the bonus tour under any instrument and play until you get to it.

No I mean like getting it on my iPod. I know how to get the song on the game, otherwise I wouldn't have known of it. But I just want to know how to download it on my computer so I can get it on my iPod.

Search for it on youtube, use one of those youtube download websites and download the video from youtube, search google for a video converter and audio ripper and convert the video and rip the audio from it.

http://www.shareup.com/Video_mp3_Extractor-download-29801.html works good, you should be able to find a video converter somewhere, too.

Ooh, never mind then. Misunderstood. :)

I found a torrent that had all the Rock Band songs in it a few days ago...you could try looking for it on Google. (I lost the link to it, alas.)

Wow. Didn't realize they were all teenagers. Maybe thats the reason they need to steal other bands' riffs.

Haha I saw a youtube video where some guy in the comments said "It's NOT the same song! It's slowed down! They did not rip off Iron Maiden! The two songs are just similar!"

People need to wake the hell up.

Do a google search. I'm sure they have a myspace page or an official website, either one would have information on how to LEGALLY obtain thier music. MOST bands offer at least some of thier music for FREE LEGAL download.

I'm not interested in the "why I think stealing music isn't wrong" debate... but it's irresponsible to try and convince other people to commit criminal activity whether you agree with crime or not.

Stealing music by pirating it is fine. Musicians make so much money any way. The problem is is that CROOKED X stole from Iron Maiden. So pirate their songs as much as you want.

Yup, My friend went crazy when he heard it. Saying it was a no talent band who stole from Iron Maiden's Wasted Years and the singer sounded like a cheap Hetfield knockoff.

Frankly, I agreed.

I think we should all be happy.

It's sort of like having two Maiden covers in Rock Band.

That song, while being okay in structure and between average to poor in the lyrical department, gets really old really fast.

OMG, please tell me you're joking. They need to give us Wasted Years to make up for this hack song.

Yup.

Crying over a band stealing Iron Maiden riffs is funny to me...

Go and listen to some jazz riffs from the 40s and 50s and you'll realize that if you add distortion... ah nevermind.

Heh, yeah, but the point is that Maiden are a popular band. And that intro to Nightmare sounds exactly like someone attempting to play the Wasted Years intro but failing, badly. It doesnt sound like someone taking another artists' riff and add their own style to it or attempt to use it in a different way. It doesnt sound like inspiration, it sounds like blatantly lazy copying of music.

This Crooked X band look very much like someone has thrown a load of money at them, almost like a typical corporate-styled hair metal act from the 80s.

It all just smacks of a big farse, to be perfecty honest.

And all these people that keep shouting about all over the internet, "omg! theyre so young, theyve got so far!!"...........

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is up with this song? When I heard it in the menus before playing it, it sounded like some weird Iron Maiden parody. And I still can't figure out what the hell anyone is thinking...I mean Iron Maiden is in the bloody game, it's not like Wasted Years is an obscure track...

I heard that Light of Doom is going to do a cover of Crooked X's blatant Iron Maiden rip off

Exactly!

It's really just the riff dumbed-down. Especially discouraging that it's played during the title screen.

This better not cost us the real Wasted Years.

Funny the intro riff reminded me of Slayer and not Maiden. I like the song anyways, probably by far my favorite bonus song.

Well at least the drumming sounds a bit different. Overall I liked the song , but like it less after listening to Wasted Years. Funny thing is , Iron Maiden isn't even listed as one of their "influences" on their myspace.

Nope it's not a coincidence, though that doesn't mean it's intentional.

The beginning of the song also sounds like 'Moonchild' but that's less blatant.

yeah, the solo sounds a little like NIB's uhh... riff..., and the whole song has a terrible metallica vibe,. I'm definitely not a fan of this song.

I never heard Wasted Years before today, I figured that the riff in question would only be similar but it really does sound the same. And the solo does sound like NIB now that you mention it...

I always called "Nightmare" the "Enter Sandman Lite" song.

just fyi

Past the intro, Nightmare and Wasted Years really aren't that similar. Yeah, the intro is nearly a stright up copy of Wasted Years at a slower speed, but unless I'm just not music savvy enough to cue into it, the rest really doesn't sound the same to me.

People rip songs off all the time. Dani California is a blatant ripoff of Tom Petty's Mary Jane's Last Dance. And even Petty said it's not a big deal. Get over it. It's a good song made all the more impressive that the kids performing it are in their early teens.

No. That song has ripped off a crap load of riffs (more than you can think). Along with the 3 that were already mentioned....

Metallica's Fade To Black.

Give that a listen.

Nightmare pisses me off

You couldn't imagine the carnage my friend (a HUGE fan of "good" metal) caused when he heard Nightmare...
He also went on yelling how its gonna suck not having the songs that were ripped off as DLC 'cause that song ruined 'em all.
>_<

Well we already got NIB as DLC so there goes that theory ;)
