So Im in the market for a new TV, and I thought, "What better group of people to ask than the ones who spend alot of time in front of theirs?"

Doesn't have to be big. I don't care about that.

The SITUATION is my budget. $250 tops it out. I would really like to stay below that.

This fits in the budget well. Would it be a signifigant upgrade from a 3 year old set?

That won't be much of a change from any old TV other than if you're upgrading size-wise.
Look for a used set, even a smaller HDTV set would be your best bet.

Ive found a couple used ones, but they are basically the same as that.

How is this one? I can get it used for $100

Perhaps I dont understand the context of this discussion, but what's wrong with a 3 yr. old TV that it needs replaced already?

Nothing actually.

Just would like a new one with some that accepts component cables
