View Full Version : Do You Have to Have a Dedicated Singer for Vocals?

It's appearing, from my forum searches, that I can't just play drums and sing (or play guitar and sing) without having a dedicated controller for the microphone.

Which is to say, even though I can get a mic to associate with my drum kit, and the drum kit has a directional pad controller with it, I can't just drum and sing; I need to do like Rock Band 2 and have a second "guest" profile signed in just for the vocals.

Am I missing something? My wife (on guitar) and I (on drums) wanted to sing along but couldn't figure out how to get vocals to show up without the dedicated control. It was sort of frustrating.

I don't think you can. I'm almost positive that you need another controller.

On the plus side, you only need one controller to control ALL of the singers.
So with one controller, you can have up to three people singing. You still need three microphones, however.

Once you click in the microphones, you don't really need them except to set the difficulty. It's not too bad, IMO.

Then again, I just do vocals.
