If you mean change their physique, I don't believe you can do that after character creation.

If you go to Rock Shop (going through Solo Tour is a decent way of doing it) you can buy clothing, change hairstyles, eyebrows, make-up, face paint and tattoos. The non-clothing things are under Ink and Scissors.

If you're referring to avatars on the forums - for now they are disabled until we relaunch the new community site. We are hoping to get it out before Christmas, like I have said, but we can't make any guarantees.
