View Full Version : Well... The Beatles experimented. Harmonix is entitled to.

What kind of super out-there dreamscapes would you like to see?
I wanna see Penny Lane that starts in the studio, but transitions in to the live action video.

I want to see Maxwell get hit by her silver hammer. More over, I would like to see the story unfold around them playing. That would be cool/funny.

I think I posted an entire in-depth thought on how I think the dreamscape should be. I'll have to find it.
EDIT: Found it:
I came up with the absolute PERFECT idea:
All four Beatles walk around the setting of the story while Paul narrates, and the other Beatles look at each other with nervous smiles. Right when Maxwell is about to hammer someone, the video instantly changes to outside the area, and it shows the entire band play the chorus normally. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Then at the end of the song, right after they sing the last line, Maxwell shows up near them, and right when he's about to hammer them, it returns to Abbey Road.

I dig it.
I dig it because I can see it.

I think would be entertaining if Maxwell's Silver Hammer showed them smiling and singing the song as blood splatter effects fly all over the screen during the chorus, while they and the background go black and white and flow in and out of a "negative" look.
Kinda like that part in the movie Bad Taste, with the blood on the car window and the Beatles cardboard cutout inside.

I am fairly certain they won't do that.

I'm not sure what I want it to be, but I'm hoping for big things from "Across the Universe."
With "Nowhere Man," I'm kind of hoping they do something with Jeremy (boob) from the Yellow Submarine movie.
"When I'm Sixty-Four" would be interesting if they made the Beatles look 64, but I think that might be in bad taste since John and George didn't live to that age.

Definitely "Nowhere Man" being the same as in the Yellow Submarine movie with Jeremy.

I hope that A Day in the Life dreamscape will be like the lyrics, John reads the news laughs, then a transition to Paul having the accident (yes, I know), then George seeing the movie, then Paul waking up the morning of the accident, then Ringo hears from the radio that there are 4000 holes in Blackburn, Lankashire.
If not, then do it like the video, but hopefully I will be like I said.

I dunno. I think Nowhere Man has a better chance of being at Budokan than in the studios, just because it was played at the Budokan concert.

I think they missed an opportunity to do a representation of what "lucy" would look like in Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

I imagine this was intentional. Give a face to a person we're supposed to create with our imagination?

I want Jeremy for sure in the dreamscape. Everytime I hear Nowhere man I think of Jeremy. The song was made before the cartoon film but the Boob has made it his own.

The Dreamscapes for the Medley songs may not be that comlpex...as I'm guessing HMX will find a way to make them work seperately while also working as the full 16 minute playthrough.

That was intentional. If you read interviews with HMXers during the developement they intentionally avoiding going with the "literal" interpretation of the song because it would seem gimmicky.

Since when? There's a Maxwell's Silver Something or nother in the cutscenes, along with a Blue Meanie and probably a dozen other references I've seen and forgotten.
But I'd mostly agree with that choice. I don't want to see Paul nearly make it with Lovely Rita. Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing Henry the Horse dance the waltz...
