So I only have the violin bass so far and I created my own user name/slot. Fine. But My friend came over to try out the game (as a single user) but he is stuck in my user name?!! He could only play as me but in a different memory slot. How come he couldn't create his own user name like I was able to?

Is this a wii? The wii only wants one "user name" to identify the console; not to identify the user.

Yeah I'm on Wii. I guess we have to have another controller connected...

I was wondering the same thing! That's kinda whack if there's no way to create more then one profile.

Yeah I noticed the same thing. You can only have one game account on the Wii. Doesn't seem to be a way to set up another! Phooey!

Definitely a limitation - makes a big difference when I'm playing "seriously" by myself or just having fun with my 6YO daughter - would also like to have seperate "careers" for me and my wife.

There's no problem with having separate careers.
You just can't have more than one user name.

Guess my terminology is off... what I meant was I'd like it if my wife and I were able to appear seperately on the leaderboards so we can compare ... but with only one user name that can't happen, unless I've missed something obvious... makes the "local users" filter rather useless since there can only ever be one user, no?

I was wondering the same thing. My brother and I want to play so that we can compare our scores and have them show up on leaderboards as different people. It's really annoying that we can't!

It's not possible. Not going to happen. Nada.
Even GH doesn't do it. The thing is with multiple user names is multiple Friend Codes. And the disk is only assigned a specific friend code.
Just one of the things about Nintendo that pisses me off to no end.

That sucks...
It seriously removes a lot of the fun of having the game in a family... wish I'd lnown that before. With the recent price drop I was almost tempted to buy an X-Box to go with TBRB, but chickened out... didn't have approval from the domestic finance minister. Wish I had, but having commited the better part of half a grand to the Wii version I'm stuck with it now. :(

Why not handle it the way Guitar Hero World Tour does? My daughter has her own profile and save game so she can chart her own progress through the song list. It seems like RB Beatles only allows a profile per instrument and even then doesn't allow them to be named? Very poor, unless I'm missing something.
Its a pity, cause otherwise the game is top notch.

Yep, this is the only thing that p**ses me off with the Wii version. Because of this I can't tell if the score shown is mine or my mates, who I've been playing it with!!
If I was a reviewer and had 5 stars to give, I'd knock one OFF cos of this!
