HMX peoplez please give us some words here. You're saying DEC 20th which is this week and stores are saying the 28th which is next week. Which is it?
And yes, I've seen the sticky. That doesn't help when stores give a diffrent release date.

We ship to Canada on the 20th. The stores will then handle when they appear on the floors.

What about Canadian DLC, I have had this game since November, and still no DLC. I have no idea why you haven't released it thus far, as it will only increase sales if you had. But which date will it be available?

you SHIP to Canada on Dec. 20th? so it probably won't be until the week after right? So that means the release date for RB will most likely be Dec. 28th if HMX is shipping ON the 20th... by the time most stores get it, they will probably sell later..

I wonder if licensing rights in Canada could affect DLC releases?

No beacause Guitar Hero 3 and 2 have downloadable tracks and are released simultaneously with the US. I think harmonix is just being lazy, think about the extra money they could have made from the canadians who bought there copy from the states.
It doesn't cost them money to put something on live so they have no excuse to not have it available in canada yet.

Hate to burst your bubble Sean, but here is my official reply from EA.

Hello *******,
I apologize but we still don't have an official date on our end. I would suggest to keep track of this website http://info.ea.com for the official release of Rock Band.
Do keep your incident numbers just in we get the exact information that the game is already released in Canada.
Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase (http://ea.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?)
Thanks!

EA tech support may not have info regarding the ship date - they may only ever have info regarding "official release dates" which are generally Tuesdays - as it's shipping on the 20th, which is so close to Christmas, it's possible there _is_ no official date because it's more of a "as soon as you get it, sell it!" situation. Fingers crossed, anyway.
Edited for clarity and poor grammar.

EA Tech Support refuses to replace any faulty equipment from non-Americans until the official release date. I got that in another letter from them.

Greetings,
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
Unfortunately we cannot process any returns or exchanges for our Canadian customers due to the game not being released in Canada as of yet.
Should you have any further questions please take a moment to review our FAQ site http://support.ea.com

So the official release date has everything to do with it. Someone needs to inform someone of what the hell is going on.

Somebody in Canada must have more accurate and updated information. Does EA not have any Canadian representatives? Clearly the American CSRs have no clue what is going on up here.

hmxsean,
Does this ship date include Rockband SE, or just the game?

I have Rock Band for PS3, and already have all the DLC available to me and I live in Canada. So unless it's a Canadian Microsoft problem, the licensing isn't an issue.

Okay this just torques me to no end here.
You have two offical reps come into this thread offering information, something few companies ever do, and then you underhandly backslap them by calling them liars ?
Did you bother to consider that the EA rep, somewhat removed from the distribution process, could be ignorant or mis-informed on this subject? Maybe it was a a form letter response that was out of date? There are a number of explanations that don't involve accusing people of lying.
Ridiculous

And with that outburst thread is done.
I gave as much info as I possibly could. You know - since I am neither in the teamsters or a Canadian border guard.
