Harmonies won't show up?

I installed the update and everything but I can't seem to figure out how to get the harmonies working. I'm using one controller and two mics. Both mics are working and two people can sing the main part but the harmony parts are not showing up.

Thanks in advance for any help. I really feel like I'm missing something simple.

Excuse me for sounding stupid, but what update are you speaking of?

Have you chosen the harmonies option in the difficulty screen? And what songs have you tried so far?

I know this sounds stupid, but did you pick Solo or Harmonies?

Is it the Blockhead Duet set from Best Buy? What you described sounds like what happened with me the other night (it's because the mics plugged into one usb port, instead of two individual ports). Both mics work, but the harmonies won't register.

I was going to ask: Did you pick a song WITH harmonies? That's what the "2" or "3" is on the singing difficulty bar when you are selecting a song (how many parts it has).
