Since it doesnt void the warrenty and there are people that say the problem is the microsensor thing, what is your takes on the online tutorial of tightening the screw on the sensor for the guitar and fixing it?

Sorry, I'm just not sure which problem you're trying to fix, there have been so many. Is this for the overdrive sensor?

No, this is for the not registering strum and or the double strum.

You will void the warranty.
You are tampering with the inner workings of the item. It breaks more and then you try to send it back they will see the tampering and will charge you.

You dont void the warr from that. U dont need to take the screw out where the sticker is.

go ahead and take the back off the guitar, use some small pieces of tape like 4 layers of masking tape and slip the tape between the pad behind the stationary contact and the little black pad you will see. Do this for the upstrum and downstrum on your strat and it will work like it has never before. here's a link to the video I made and put on youtube.

it works fantastic, after doing this you wont want to sent it back and get some junk replacement. My son smokes this game on expert now Enjoy.

you need to get that original version replaced with the newest version. those contacts aren't good for the long term. you want the new version with the proximity sensors.

by the time you finally get a replacement guitar that isn't broken just like the rest, we will have played this game 5,000 times with our first run metal contact guitar and have had zero problems since we fixed it.

think about it like this, if you took the metal contact right out of the guitar like I have, and examine them really closely, you will see that they function the exact same way that a morse code sensor works, and guess what, morse code sensors last more than 30 years. Hit the strummer with a hammer and you wont put more pressure on the contact than if you lightly press it. They have excellent continuity, I've checked em with a meter. The only faulty design with the metal contact guitars as far as the strumming goes is that they were too stupid to install a thicker pad behind the stationary contact.

so ive had the same problem that alot of you seem to be having with the jacked up down and up strum ive already gone through one replacement guitar and i just got the new one 3 days ago and last night i started to have the same problem again. you can only imagine how pissed i was. i found bigdaddykool's video and his fix is perfect i played last night after the fix and the guitar feels better than when it came out the box, i tried it with 3 pieces of tape and then with 4, i personally recommend 3... but major thanks to BigDaddyKool for he awesome fix
