So I chose to do the guitar RMA option where they send you the empty box first (sorry guys, don't have $125 to be put on hold for half of forever;) anyway, I have a few questions about what to do, since I've never done anything like this before.
First off, the guitar won't fit in the smaller box (the labeled one); this is probably because the tip of the guitar (the neck, is it called? I dunno, the thing with the fake tuning adjustment things) is attached. But I can't figure out how to take that off. Should I even bother since there is a larger box anyway?
Second, once I get the guitar in the box, what do I do with it? Do I have to take it to a UPS store? should I tape the papers they gave me onto the box, and if so, which?
Thanks for the help in advance.

you leave the neck sticking out of the smaller box - do not take it off. place that in the larger box with whatever packing material came in there. place the list of materials on top of the smaller box. close the outer box, tape it up, put the return label on the front and take it to UPS.
