I've had the game for a few weeks now and nothing has failed... but with all the posts of hardware failures I'm under the impression that it's only a matter of time...

So I'm curious if anyone out there HASN'T had a problem at all? Re-assure me people!

Also, post if your hardware failure was PS3 or Xbox 360

There's no selection on the poll for "all 3 have failed". :p Took almost a month though, everything worked fine until this weekend.

Yeah - I've had both the drums and guitar break - the guitar in a day, the bass pedal in 2 weeks. both RMA'd, The guitar has been sent out weeks ago, still haven't received a replacement, I've been waiting over a week for an empty RMA box for the pedal.

Xbox 360

I was under the impression that I had a good set till 2-3 weeks in. Probably because I only played when my sister and I had the time to.

Surprisingly, the pedal was the last thing to crap out. Snapped just recently when my sister and I finally had time to play around 8 hours straight. The drum pads were probably busted to begin with but my sister probably wasn't good enough at the time to figure it out. Mic randomly goes out for some odd reason. Guitar had a busted downstrum. Replacement guitar has a busted upstrum, bad tilt sensor, and loud clacky buttons.

Too bad the poll only lets you vote once. I need to vote 2 more times, lol.

Didn't think of adding a "all 3 have failed"... probably should have.

So far I'm not liking the results! lol

If it's possible, could a MOD add a 5th option called "All 3 Have Broken"

Did you ever stop to think that your results might not be that accurate? How many people with no problems are going to go to the tech support forum? It makes sense that the results will show a lot of people w/broken gear...this is the forum for broken gear! Everyone with working gear is playing the game instead of browsing through here.

It's like going to an AA meeting and declaring that everyone in the world must be an alcoholic, because everyone at the meeting says they have a problem...

I haven't experienced any issues whatsoever with my Rock Band equipment... My only gripe with the entire package is the whole guitar compatibility issue surrounding the PS3.

Lets hope it stays that way :)

I just got the game and the first night out of the box I tried to use the microphone and to my avail the damn thing doesn't work. I have reset the hub plugged in straight and everything.

Did you ever stop to think that "tech support" doesn't automatically mean that their stuff is broken. Just because someone is in the tech support area doesn't mean their equipment is toasted.

I have to imagine there are going to be a lot more of the same problems going on. There are a lot of unopened rock band bundles sitting under Christmas trees so I don't think EA/Harmonix has heard the bulk of it yet.

My first guitar still work like a charm.. I'm trying to find an issue with it but I don't :P Only thing that broke is the kick pedal but I repaired it.

None of my instruments have failed and I`ve had the game since day one (for the PS3). The guitar works great, the drums work great, my pedal hasn`t even come close to snapping in half, and the mic works fine. I did buy a diamond plate pedal cover last week off ebay as preventive maintenance, but that`s about it. I think a lot of people are rough on their peripherals because they feel that they have to be. You barely have to press the bass pedal down to get it to work, and you don`t have to bang the drums like a 2 dollar whore. Just take it easy with your stuff and you shouldn`t have many problems.

The tech forum is a bit of an unbiased source of information, I would think. Why else would people show up on the tech forum, should their equipment be working perfectly fine? Just the few with DLC and disc issues, but that's still a small lot compared to the many, many people waiting for extra guitars or their respective coffins.

I have had problems with multiple guitars already.

4 other people in my department also have RB. Not one of them have had any problems yet. Don't know if it is coincidence, but the other 4 have 360's. and I have a ps3.

I voted no and meant yes.

On my 3rd drumset, and the guitar from that set is currently in the mail.
