Why not a few songs by Jimi Hendrix. I have not seen any mention of any songs by him. Most of his stuff is easy to sing and seems like it would wok well in the game. I would also lile to see some old Stone Temple Pilots, Prince (Especially Lets Go Crazy) and more stuff by Rush.

The more I listen the more I enjoy the thought of playing and singing Hey Joe despite the fact that it will never make it.

Oh and The Wind Cries Mary.

Purple Haze is such an overrated Jimi song. I mean listen to the solo in along the watchtower's solo. You can't beat it.

I'd take any of the following...

All Along the Watchtower, Purple Haze, Voodoo Child(Slight Return), Little Wing, The Wind Cries Mary, Fire, and possibly Foxey Lady.

I want All Along the Watchtower and/or Voodoo Child the most, though.

I suppose I could see how it would be viewed as "overrated," but there is still no doubt it is a great song. I think the introduction really makes it what it is. That's what does it for me, anyway. All Along the Watchtower is just awesome, I agree with you there. Damn, I don't think anyone could have covered it any better. Even ole Bob was impressed.

Agreed. But you know for some good ol' fun heavy riff I wish they'd bring back Spanish Castle Magic with vocals.

And maybe the album Electric Ladyland too. Oh or Are You Experienced?

I agree that watchtower has a great solo. I wonder if they are considering voodoo child or WT? I hope they make it on.

Purple Haze is a good song, but if you listen to it, the guitar sounds fairly moderately paced, and it's not as challenging as most other Jimi songs. I'd like it on DLC eventually, but I'd prefer a song with difficulty worthy of Hendrix in the main setlist.

Still Raining Still Dreaming would be my first choice, but I'd also love Fire, The Wind Cries Mary, or Castles Made of Sand.

Spanish Castle Magic with vocals is an enthusiastic yes, but I'd rather have it as DLC since I want all-new content in the main game. Maybe bundled with the rest of Axis: Bold as Love. And Electric Ladyland is a must-have too.

I haven't heard Still Raining Still Dreaming. I'll have to download that tonight. But Fire is excellent.

Hmm, I haven't heard that either, actually.

Listening to it now. I'm pretty floored. My only beef, which I never thought of before, is how Hendrix's use of pedals may affect the available in-game pedal effects.

But this song is creative and brilliant. No repition. It's cool.

But Fire, Hey Joe, and All Along the Watchtower Still are my picks.

With Electric Ladyland, Axis, and Are You Experienced as my album picks.

What about Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner?

Talk about reviving a dead topic, but no, I don't think his Star Spangled Banner would do simply because there are no lyrics. Good for Guitar Hero, though.

And, wow, "Still Raining, Still Dreaming" is pretty awesome.

Jimi would rock. I think they should include Hey Joe, or All Along the Watchtower. I've never played All along the Watchtower, but Hey Joe has a really fun bassline.
