My daughter and I have been having more and more problems with RB seeming to lag/hiccup/skip (video only) while playing.
I'm trying to narrow down the culprit. I'm playing on a 60G PS3. I own a Sanyo HD LCD 780p/1080i.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Do you think it's the TV or the PS3 or the game itself?
I'm also having USB problems with the microphone. I often have to change USB ports so it will send a strong signal so the pitch indicator doesn't bounce all over the place.

I used to get random lag/hiccups. It was happening to all the note charts so it was kind of obvious. It was happening on an Xbox 360 by the way. The note charts would suddenly shift down really fast and then go back to normal. It would happen throughout the whole song on all songs.
I don't know what causes it or what fixed it for me. I took out the disc, unplugged the hub (all my instruments are on the hub), and turned off the 360. Afterwards, I used the eject button to turn on the 360, popped in the disc, waited for RB to load a bit, and then plugged in my hub. That is how I start up RB ever since >_> Not sure if this method will do anything for you though.
It might be the USB hub, I'm thinking about getting it replaced.

PS3's don't use a USB Hub. Our guitars are wireless. Only the mic and drums use the USB ports. The guitars connect via USB ports via dongles.

I've gotten that maybe twice and it made me miss notes. It happens so rare that it's no big deal.

I had this one time, and I speculate it was related to the DVD drive not spinning up fast enough to keep pace.

Just to the add to the record, I've had this happen to me a few times on the 360 in various modes (solo, local band and online). It's pretty minor though and never messed me up.

I encountered this the other day. The screen and audio got jittery for about 2 seconds, then it was over. I figured it was just because I'm not using an out-of-the-box system. I've got a 250 Gig HDD in my PS3. Maybe it's just Hmx's code, since others seem to have experienced it.
Really not worth mentioning though. 2 seconds of glitching out of hours and hours and hours of play. I wish all games had that kind of reliability.
