I'm not a hardcore player and I don't play the game every day. When I play I like to play for a while and it's usually when I have friends over so we can play together and have fun. About a week and a half after release, my guitar broke. I did the express RMA got a new one. That one broke so I did the RMA for it again. Now my Drum Kit that I just started play with last week broke and it's under RMA. The original warranty in the box states 60 days. Everyone has seen this piece of paper. So that’s fine for me till the warranty is up. Then what?

This brings me to my concern. I have seen posted in several places in this Tech Forum that “EA isn’t concerned with the 60 day warranty and wants to make sure everyone that has purchased the game has working equipment to play it.” Unfortunately, this bit of information comes from various users of this forum and not from either EA staff or Harmonix Staff, at least not that I have found anywhere.

As far as I know, there hasn't been an official announcement of an extension of the warranty.
Many people, myself included, are going on the hopes and prayers that we will get at least a one year warranty out of this.

Below is something I wrote on a similar thread:

The impression I get is that EA is committed to correcting the issue. I don't think they are going to stiff us on day 61. After all, a lot of the launch day bundles are going to be Christmas presents. Those won't even get a chance to fail until more than half way through the warranty. If they are thinking long term success of a franchise, they will continue to do the right thing.

i know this doesn't really amount to anything, but the first CSR i spoke with on the phone swore to me that they were giving a one year warranty on the hardware. i would really like to see this in writing somewhere, though.

as it stands now, i'm returning mostly playable equipment that i'm experiencing minor quirks with in hopes of receiving a replacement that works perfectly before the 60 days are up.
