Hey Guys - Beatles Rock Band is awesome. This is my first experience with RB, was a GH guy until 9/9/09, dont think I'll ever play GH again.
Anyway, I am having trouble understanding the career scoring system in TB:RB, I have played in both full band and solo, using all the instrument types and vocals at various times.
Now that all the crowds have left, I have the game to myself, and I have 829,000+ points, but now I am concentrating on being better at bass (was medium, now training for hard), and spent time doing both both Local and Online sessions.
After playing a setlist of 6 songs on bass, I did pretty good, but when I went to check my career score, it hadn't changed.
I dont get it, cant find info on how this works in terms of increasing my career score. can someone point me in the right direction on where to find info on this, or maybe you guys can help explain it?
Re: this whole experience, waiting all this time for TB:RB has been this:
1 - What a forum of helpful, knowledgable gamers and mods!
2 - This is a game that will have lasting power for many years to come.
3 - Playing The Beatles is even better than listening to them (I never thought that would come out of my mouth!)
Thanks for your help!

Your career score on an instrument is the total of your highest scores on each song played solo on the instrument
To improve your career score, play a song you haven't played yet (on the instrument) or improve on your high score on the ones you have played. Your high scores will be listed on the song selection screen in quickplay.

hshizzle, Thanks!
Ok....now I am getting it. :)
Is there anywhere I can find a guide or detailed instructions about this? Is this the same in the RB1 and 2 games as well?
hshizzle, thanks again for taking the time to reply!

Just so you know, scores from setlists, such as Chapter Challenges, don't get recorded as solo scores since energy and multipliers from previous songs can be carried over.

And if playing one song at a time and getting a new high score doesn't increase your career score, try playing it in the story mode (which is your "career"). I don't think this is the only way, but if all else fails, try this. :)

Thanks Cyco and Oak, I appreciate your replies.
Is there a definitive instruction booklet or strategy guide that gives detailed info on scoring and other important info ? I'd appreciate anyone's input.
Rock on!
