HMXSEAN,

Any chance of getting a new sub-category, just for all the 'mod' threads?
It's a pain following all of them, when they get buried in this 'Rock Band' sub-category.

I dunno... That depends on if HMX supports people modding their periphrals or not... :P I just use scorehero for all my hardware modding needs.

I actually PMd HMXSean a week or so ago with this exact suggestion. I even offered to be a moderator for that subforum to hunt down and transfer all relevant threads. Needless to say, I haven't heard back from him yet.
I know that technically the companies don't support modding because of the fear of lawsuits from kids electricuting themselves. The problem is that there are already dozens of posts on the subject of hardware modding and no matter what the objections, we are going to continue to mod this stuff and post on the internet. Of course there is scorehero with their hardware section that continues to be a fantastic resource, but why not cater to us modders here so we don't have to go elsewhere?
To make this forum the best it can be they need to make a hardware subforum and support it with moderators that will sticky the gold and lock the crap.

If you are worried about your post getting lost amongst all the other posts, I would suggest PMing the mod of your choice, that is a sure fire way to get what you have to say seen. Not only that it will probably get it answered fairly quickly as well, and you'll be going directly to the source.
