So this weekend, all my buddies were able to get together (without the wives/girlfriends) for some football watching and Rock Band playing. Some of them were interested in playing TB:RB while others couldn't have cared less.

We fired up the game and I let the interested players pick what they wanted to play and we started jamming. I looked around and everyone was smiling and having a good time.

When it was my time to pick the setlist I choose Dig A Pony and I Want You (She's So Heavy). The mood quickly changed as the comments of "I don't know this song," and "Let's play RB2," or "How come <insert missing song here> isn't in the game. Somehow I convinced them to play the set and when it was over they were all commenting on "how they knew the song but never knew the name of it" or "those were great tunes'.

Later on in the night on two seperate occasions a friend pulled me aside and told me that they would be buying the game for themselves the next day. It's pretty good feeling to turn someone else on your favorite band. :)

I played TB:RB with three people at the weekend,
30 something female (lapsed Beatle fan)
her 10 year old daughter (had only ever heard Yellow Submarine)
40 something man (total non Beatles fan)

None of them had played Rock Band or Guitar Hero but they ALL loved TB:RB and want to buy it !!!

This game has a wonderful effect on people that I've never seen with RB/GH.
