Online Band Quickplay

Sometimes when I play online on Xbox 360 with others during the Band Quickplay, some parts of the song will not play at all, like a drum part or a guitar part, but they'll keep playing on their side like nothing's wrong. On my end though, I can't hear anything from that instrument. At the end of the song, their score gets magically added to mine. Is this glitch on my side or their side?

sounds like you have a slightly slow connection. make sure your PC is not on the internet and especially not downloading anything.
