The Pretenders' song doesn't strike me as one that me and my male friends can "rock out" to, not to mention we don't really enjoy singing songs with female lead singers.
"Buddy Holly" is a MUST PURCHASE. Probably jumps right into our collective top 10 as soon as I buy it.
"My Iron Lung?" Never heard of it before just a few minutes when I looked it up on youTube. Seems like a very good song, but not sure if I'll buy it.

I'm buying "Brass in Pocket" to get another track with a female vocalist for the office, and "Buddy Holly" as well. "My Iron Lung" doesn't interest me at this time.

Buddy Holly: a song most of my friends and I are waiting for.
My Iron Lung: Definitely, simply cuz I love that song and Radiohead.
Brass in Pocket: Never heard it. I'll probably listen to them before making up my mind as to whether I want it or not...

I've been getting all the DLC as well, to try and encourage Harmonix to release as much as it possibly can.
That said, the only "must have" from this particular pack IMO is My Iron Lung. Radiohead is awesome, and they have some songs that would be perfect for RB. So in an effort to try and get more Radiohead on RB I think we should all buy My Iron Lung. lol

Is anyone else amused by the UTTER irony of My Iron Lung being included as DLC?
For those who don't know My Iron Lung is about Radiohead's frustration from their fans desire to hear only one of their song's. The song became the band's personal Iron Lung supporting their fame and restricting them to the point of almost making them a one hit wonder.
That song that drove them so nuts? Creep
I actually felt bad for Radio Head when I heard that Creep was on the Rockband's songlist (thinking of this song but at the same time being psyched at getting a chance to play it myself anyway) When I saw My Iron Lung on the upcoming DLC list I cracked up.
Way to respect your artists Harmonix.

Buddy Holly is a must have! Now, My Iron Lung is a good song but I wonder why they chose it over "Just", which has better vocals, drums and guitar lines. Plus it's a better song.

Well, there's about five well-known Radiohead you could ask the same thing of...especially some that are from the last, oh, FIVE albums.
But my non-snide answer would be that the machine gun guitar at the end of Just would make it play too similar to Creep.

We'll be picking up all three. Very different songs, they all have their place in the setlist... I'm glad for the variety being offered through the game itself and the DLC. I'm sure some people would prefer to be able to stock their consoles with 50 metal or punk or whatever songs, but our get-together group has four people with four very different tastes... That's why Harmonix's approach works out so well.

I haven't really noticed, but I think someone mentioned before that it's kinda muffled, as in the crowd doesn't sing the song that you're playing like they do with on-disc songs, it's just more of a muffled sing-a-long. Not sure though.

Brass In Pocket is on the "get a little later" list. I love the Pretenders to death, but I can think of a few of their songs I'd have rather seen first, like Message of Love, Middle of the Road or Watching the Clothes.
My Iron Lung... I've never been a big Radiohead fan. I'll have to hear the song first.

I am amused with the irony, but do not feel one iota of guilt. Bands don't have the right to tell us which one of their songs we should like more, or less. How pretentious can you be? (the band, not you Hungry Samurai)

I don't think it's pretentious, but I do think it's a bit whiny: the song opened the door for them to be hugely successful and ultimately very independent. I heard an interview with Thom Yorke in which he said that OK Computer sounds like it does because after all the money they made on the first two albums, they could afford to get their own studio set up, which allowed them to work on material as long as they wanted to at no additional expense.
It's the double-edged sword of popularity: if you want it, you have to be willing to acknowledge what brought it to you.

Right, because the artists themselves (or their record label, whoever owns the rights) have absolutely NO input as to what songs of theirs make it into the game. Didn't you know that Harmonix can just go out and pick songs willy-nilly and throw them into their game without getting any approval from anyone?
"Respect your artists." What a godawful stupid statement. Radiohead isn't stupid. They know Creep is their biggest. song. ever. They might hate the fact that it almost made them a one hit wonder, but they ain't dumb ;)

They probably liked Creep just fine until they'd been on tour playing it for 2 years straight. I doubt that they'd feel any ill will by giving it to video gamers to sing/play whenever they wanted. That's one potential audience sated, able to experience music that they've more or less put behind them without having to play that same song again.

after 2.5 years of this show, he is no longer "Doogie", he's Barney.
He is out from under that shadow.
He has created a character that is very memerable and likable. HIMYM is the best sit com on TV now, and probably in the last 5 years. Basically since Friends and Seinfeld left the air.
The Office is probably a better show overall, but its not really a sitcom, it is in it's own league.
