Figured I'd start a thread for this one.
Can someone please confirm that this will be going on?
I had my first Rock Band @ Improv experience in July but missed August's, so this will be my second time coming. I had such a blast the first time and, after hearing my stories and seeing a video I posted on facebook about it, my girlfriend said she'll be joining me this time and is trying to get a bunch of her friends from where she works to go too. So you regulars may see a handful of new faces this month.
I'm hoping that if this event is happening that it's not going to be focused on The Beatles: Rock Band. Despite the recent release (congrats on that btw Harmonix) and critical praise for the game, I'd personally prefer it to still be using RB2 so as to maintain the crazy variety that keeps the whole night entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining; for those of you who may not have gone to check out my facebook video I linked in the thread for the July event, here's a link to just a portion of that video posted on youtube. It's of a certain Crystal Math performance from that night (hope the guys don't mind me putting it out there). I think it's a prime example of why this event kicks so much ass! As stated in the info for the video; please don't mind the overuse of some effects, it's basically there in an effort to stylize the video as best as I could in Windows Movie Maker as well as to hide a bit of shoddy camera work.
